Picked this hotel as it was located near the old city it (and a private car park no fee) and was a short walk across the bridge. Reception was friendly and readily gave advice on the old city and the Hotel amenities. Be aware that there is no facilities in the room for tea or coffee and the machine in the foyer is for a charge. Something we were not used to. Room was spacious and had what you needed. Great for an overnight or extended stay.

For sure Stade und "das alte Land" are definitely worth to be visited. There is so much to see and even more to taste in fall. Unfortunately the staff in this Hotel especially in the Breakfast Room is a bunch of jerks. The first morning the fancy Coffee Maker broke and they tried to repair it by staring at the machine. One Lady opens the door of the trestercontainer and closed it shortly. Result: no coffee on day one. On the next morning the Coffee Machine first works but as we arrived in the Breakfast area it broke again. sadly I had on fork and knife on my table. And those people did not provide some. so I looked around and luckily I found a nice pair of fork and knife 10 meters from the breakfast buffet in the bar. A woman arrived from the kitchen and saw me with the Knife and fork. She yelled at me and grabbed the tools back. Than she went back to the kitchen. After a minute or so she came back and gave me another pair of silverware. No Coffee on day two. Mistakes can happen, but from a professional hotel crew I expect a solution with such simple things as silverware and coffee. The rooms were clean and comfortable

I think this hotel knows where it stands really, its not contemporary or luxury in any way, but it's clean, bright and spacious.. I stayed here for one night, the room was basic, but perfectly functional.. A good mix of international channels on the seriously old TV, no kettle or minibar in the room, but reception will make whatever you want and bring it up if you phone down.. It was -6 outside, which I definitely felt when I went to bed, make sure the radiator is on - for some reason mine wasn't.. Breakfast was ok, cooked food only really consisted of meat, so as a vegetarian that wasn't overly appealing, luckily there was loads of fresh fruit which kept me sane - dinner the night before was actually the opposite, I was really surprised how varied their menu was, what I had was really good too... So, I can't see why I would need to return to Stade - but if I do, I'll stay here :)

Stayed for one night because of a business meeting. Pros: Clean and tidy room. Free wifi. Good restaraunt in house. Breakfast buffet was good. Very polite staff. Cons: Too few parking lots were available.

We were traveling budget for our trip, so the Ramada Stade seemed like a palace in regards to size, view, included breakfast, and PLENTY OF PARKING. The staff was also so friendly and a lot of them spoke English. Yes, it's basic, and not the most updated, but it's clean, it's very reasonably priced, the breakfast is quite good, depending on the room you get a great view of the river and the whole innenstadt... overall we were very happy. We were sad to leave. (Did I mention there was a TON OF PARKING)

I have been in the hotel only once, because I live near. The hotel is what can be called minimalist in the amount of what it offers, but what it offers is good under any standard. Staff is kind and efficient. Rooms are not big under American or other European standards but are well sized for what is common to find in Germany. The room was presented like if checked by a Scottish Butler, irrepressible. Unfortunately I did not had the time to enjoy Cafe or Restaurant. I will for sure in future if the opportunity arises.

Stayed for 2 nights. There are some really good things at this hotel, but some of the negatives encountered are within the grasp of the hotel management to solve. My room (No 19) was very close to reception and one of the largest single rooms i've stayed in. Only downside was the location on the ground floor a couple of feet away from a public road/walkway. I hope the window is strengthened - this looks like the easiest option for a break-in. The continental breakfast was excellent - wide variety of stuff available. The hours food and drink available confusing - Monday to Thursday, apart from breakfast, food available after 5.30pm until 9pm (i think) and drink 5.30pm to 11pm. Be warned, the bar staff enforce the 11pm rule without exception, their false friendliness disappears very quickly. Considering how the Ramada chain treats its customers in the UK, this is of concern. Friday and Saturday the start time is midday. Reception staff good with thankfully the ability to speak and understand English. For my requirements this place probably the best option but am tempted to try elsewhere just to make sure a mistake hasn't been made.

Ramada Hotel is a large, modern 4 star hotel, located on the harbor. I stayed here 1 night in transit by bicycle. My room (# 53) was spacious, nicely decorated and had a good size bed. The bathroom has a shower only, but has everything one needs. Reception at the front desk was very friendly and very helpful with organizing safe parking for my bike for the night. Restaurant and barfacilities only open at 18:00 hrs. The restaurant is a mix of buffet and a la carte. The interior of the restaurant seems a bit messy. There were a number of groups that evening, who used the all inclusive buffet. I've eaten a la carte and was satisfied with the food, no culinary delights. Staff in the restaurant was very friendly. Hotel is also used for seminars and the like and the room next to me and opposite to me were used as syndicate rooms. That meant very early in the morning noise of people walking in and out and loud conversations. The breakfast was very basic. The hotel offers free WIFI.

Good location just outside the old town of Stade. Clean, quiet, staff that is friendly. This was our second visit to Stade and this hotel. Hadn’t booked a room but on arrival we got the last available room which was the biggest apartment with two bedrooms and kitchenette/living room and of course a bathroom. Wow, this was impressive! AC in all rooms, plenty of places to put your clothes, refrigerator and everything you need in a kitchen. The balcony was reachable from each room and that made it very long! The view of the old town was great! Plastic chairs to put on the balcony were in the kitchen. The free parking area was full but there is another area behind it. The hotel payed for the ticket when we left. We didn’t include breakfast since we had a kitchenette. In my last review I said that we will probably stay here again and so we did. Would definitely recommend this hotel and especially the apartments!
