The Queens St Ives

Love love love, such a VIBEEEEE Music, good drinks, bar staff are lush, foods insane and the locals are so lovely🩷 Gets busy in the evening but that only adds to the fun, they have every football game, pool tables and the food is amazing too, if your going for a quiet drink or a full night out this is the place for sure .

The staff were lovely and helpful, especially Tasha and Ishmael. We had a family event and they couldn't do enough to help. They made the event even more special for us all. Would recommend the Hotel and definitely stay here again when in the area.

Have stayed at this hotel many years ago and had a great stay. Must be different owners as we had a totally different experience. Only went in for a drink and a meal. When we looked at the limited menu decided not to luckily. A couple sat near us did. There meal looked very basic which was just dropped down in front of them. I went to get another drink from the bar. one of the glasses was tipped right over by the girl behind the bar , covering me with drink. The girl was to busy speaking to the people at the end of the bar. Another girl came around to clear up the mess with no offer to me to dry myself. I had to ask for some blue roll. Very unprofessional. I was soaked. I said I guess those are free , she said I'll charge you for one. Great customer service( not). Will we return, I don't think so!!

Stank of bleach in bar area which wasn’t the best welcome although they are obviously trying to smell clean?? Ordered our food which took quite a while to arrive and then very underwhelming. Chicken wings for main was just that no salad side and don’t even ask for chips because they don’t do them. No cutlery given until we had to ask for them and our chip substitute which hadn’t arrived with meal. Sorry but wouldn’t recommend or rush back.

Dogs yapping and out of control in the bar area. Dogs on seats. Dogs on tables. Dog bowls on tables. I left because I wasn't happy putting my drink on a table where dogs are freely allowed to be. Hygiene ?

The Queens is a nice place for me to enjoy a drink, have a game of pool, sample the local beers, pizza and speak with the staff - whilst sat at the bar (unless playing pool) and yet I found myself unsatisfied that the bar stools have been removed - and apparently destroyed!! I visit this establishment most afternoons for coffee and an evening drink with a tasty pizza. Please reintroduce the bar stools as having them creates a much more social atmosphere at the bar and encourages customers to stay, make new friends/conversation and make the queens more active which is important for its success given St Austell Brewery have now taken over the role of running The Queens.
