Das Vesper

We stayed in this hotel twice before and booked two rooms for a panorama plus room one year ahead. We requested to have the rooms next to each other at least on the same floor. When we arrived we learned that not only the rooms weren’t on the same floor we also got two different rooms. First they tried to explain that the rooms were the same. One room was half of the size and didn’t have the bathtub as advertised. After complaining we were told that the sales manager had changed the room categories and that the panorama plus room is now the same as the regular room. Even though their signs at the hallways were indicating differently. They gave us for the one room a refund of 10 euros per night, a total of 4 nights. This was still ridiculous because the room prices were way different between these rooms. After complaining the next day they changed the room. When I got back I contacted the management and it took them 2 weeks to respond with no word that they are sorry. Instead they were defending themself about their decision to change the categories. It was very disappointing leaves a feeling that they are not interested in my business. The room was clean but does not deserve 3 stars. The bathrobes are worn out and the room is very economical furnished. No pictures, no decoration very simple. The breakfast is good but nothing special. Staff seemed always stressed out. I missed the smile. After all we won’t stay here again.

We booked a golf trip with Pin High Golftravel for a 2 day stay at Golfhotel Vesper. Unfortunately there were too many things that went wrong on the way during these 2 days. Here they are : - on arrival we received the news that at one of the 2 courses there were only 12 holes open, and that golf carts were not allowed. As my partner needs a cart we took the option of playing Felderbach twice. But that was not part of the plan, we should have been informed plenty of time before we arrived. - my partner had been given the information that his garlic allergy was passed on to the hotel, however when the first course arrive he asked if there was garlic in it, and there was - we ordered a whiskey and we were given some time later a second one even though we did not order it. Obviously we could have complained, but I was not in the mood, so we paid for 4 whiskeys, which was more than 50 EUR. - On day 2 at the golfclub reception we were informed that we were booked on the course with 12 holes, that she knew nothing about a rebooking and that there was no way we could play the Felderbach course. Obviously this time I started a discussion and finally she phoned to someone else, who confirmed that we were rebooked. She did not even check our name for the time that we mentioned on the Felderbach course, it could have avoid all this unnecesary confusion. - At dinner my partner mentioned again his garlic allergy which seemed like a good idea, because I think they forgot. We order the wine card, but they forgot to bring it, and then we order mayonaise with the main dish and the same waitress forgot again. Having said all this it wasn't quite as bad as it looks here. - I found the golfcourse we played quite nice and in good shape - We were offered on day 1 to take pictures of the other course, which was nice, but then obviously on day 2 that other person said it was out of the question (but we did it anyway) - when the dish with garlic was taken back my partner received another dish - The waitress who forgot about the wine card and mayonaise offered an apology and said she just seemed to have a bad day - We had the creamy aspargus soup twice and that was very good Definitely it leaves a lot to be desired to offer better service and experience to hotel guests.

We waren hier met een groep van 14 mensen om te golfen. Laat ik met het voornaamste beginnen: de 2 golfbanen zijn matig tot slecht onderhouden; de greens erbarmelijk. Het hotel is een ander verhaal: de door ons geboekte panoramakamer was prima, modern en had een uitstekend bed en een mooie badkamer. Op de tv zaten alleen alleen maar Duitse zenders, maar een zat een Netflix knop op de afstandsbediening dus konden we Netflixen, niet dus! De tv was niet verbonden met het internet en dat kon ook niet geregeld worden. Het personeel was zakelijk afstandelijk en ongelooflijk inefficient, niet met het brengen van de bestelling maar bij het opnemen en achteraf op de kamer laten zetten. Hier hadden ze nog nooit gehoord van: iets bestellen, je kamer nr. noemen en klaar. Nee achteraf moest je te biecht bij de ober, vertellen wat je gedronken had en dan kon het op de kamer. Het ontbijtbuffet was sober: van alles een beetje en voor een glaasje jus d'orange moest je bijbetalen. Een golfcart werd verstrekt voor 45 euro ( nog nooit ergens betaald) en als je hem op je kamer wilde boeken werd er gevraagd of je ingeboekt was in het hotel en bij een ja werd ter plekke met met de hotelreceptie gebeld om dat na te vragen. Zoals de waard is vertrouwd hij zijn gasten! Alles bij elkaar hebben we een leuke week gehad maar dat lag niet aan het hotel... Conclusie: hier gaan we nooit meer naar toe.

Een mooi gelegen hotel met prachtige best wel indrukwekkende golfbaan erom heen. Ontvangst was nogal koel tegen onvriendelijk aan. Personeel op terras (mooi weer) is nogal belerend en arrogant. Niet allemaal. Er zit echt vriendelijk personeel tussen maar het is apart dat niet iedereen service gericht is. Het voelt een beetje alsof je als groep anders behandeld wordt. Eten is ok. Kamers zijn goed. Heel stil. Het was vooral nogal chaotisch aan zowel receptie als bij restaurant en er worden veel fouten gemaakt in de aanlevering van afgesproken materialen en eten en dit wordt vooral niet vriendelijk opgelost. Integendeel. Mooie ervaring maar komen hier niet meer terug.

Panorama kamer geboekt. Echter geen panorama maar uitzicht op een achterplaatsje met afvoerpijp. In de kamer geen fijn zitje, maar twee stoelen met een rechte rug. Ontbijt minimaal: weinig fruit, geen sapjes, beperkt aantal broodjes, smakeloze croissants, beperkt beleg. Avondeten: buffet met doorgekookte pasta en tomatensaus uit blik, doorgekookte groenten, droge vis en taai vlees. Bediening: afstandelijk beleefd, niet vriendelijk, niet servicegericht. Kortom, geen vier sterren hotel. De golfbaan is prachtig, maar ook uitdagend met zijn hoge glooiingen. En dan is het jammer dat buggy’s niet of nauwelijks de baan op mogen. Dat zou duidelijk via de website of bij de boeking gecommuniceerd moeten worden.

Kamer met bad midden in de slaapkamer. ‘S nachts erg warm, er is geen airco aanwezig en boven de keuken. Personeel erg aardig, in het restaurant helaas geen keuze. De golfbanen zijn erg leuk maar moeilijk. Konden geen buggy ivm regenval in de nacht. Dus lopen en best veel hoogteverschil. Prijs voor de kamer zeker te duur, ontbijt en diner prima ondanks geen keuze. Golfbanen top
