T By the way, the hotel was nearly empty! We entered the room and the smell was overwhelming!! I went to the desk to complain! I then asked for an upgrade if available as the hotel was empty and was given one, but then I was charged for it! We went to the room and when I looked at our charges I found we were charged for the upgrade!! I again went to the front desk and also asked why I was charged for the upgrade as the hotel was empty. The clerk said it was standard practice! We then downgraded to the room we reserved and we were asked to move! WHAT! The new room was exactly like the room we had just left. This Hotel is not an exceptional Hotel or location! The rooms are OK but not great! The final stroke was breakfast, which for a Hilton Hotel Group was meager at best! We will NEVER stay at this hotel or ANY Hampton Inn again! Hilton you need to be aware of what this brand is doing to your brand!
