The Inn South Stainley

The hotel is so clean, the room looks like a brand new. Food is amazing, we had dinner (grill) and breakfast. Definitely recommended! It was a great stay for us.

Amazing from start to finish. Breakfast was delicious, great options. Room (lodge suites) we’re warm, noise proof and clean Food, slightly on the more expensive side, however good size portions and delicious so worth the extra money! Attention to detail throughout our was unreal. We will certainly be back!!

Wow 😲 so impressed by the inn south Stanley Service was spot on , I am staying here for work and I will definitely stay again The room is cosy and immaculate The shower is very large and hot The food is knock out I had a burger and without doubt this is the best burger I have ever had Cooked to perfection and dressed to to suit A truly excellent meal Bar staff are also brilliant I can not fault the place at all The gardens are beautiful with lots of seating and also some outdoor bedrooms with these own terrace If you are looking for a lovely stay away alone or with loved ones you would be silly not to book here 5 stars🤩

We like to visit this lovely pub/restaurant when we are passing as it is top quality food and great service also in a nice setting The roast meats served on a sub roll with gravy and stuffing etc are the best We had the pork and the beef and they were top notch yet again Extensive menu but we usually have the same thing as it is so good ! Highly recommend

Had a wonderful 4 night stay in this hotel, couldn't fault it. Stayed in one of the single-storey Lodge rooms which had a private railed balcony with garden table and chairs overlooking the attractively laid out garden. Room was very comfortable, good bed, with a clean and roomy walk-in shower (no hint of black mould). Plentiful supply of electric sockets. Don't know how old the Lodge is, but it's been very well cared-for. Great breakfasts and evening meals in attractive dining room and bar. Staff are helpful and friendly - a special shout out to William for his help and a friendly chat on our last evening! There's a sense of the place being unobtrusively well-run and managed. Would definitely return if we go back to the Yorkshire Dales. Highly recommended.

We do love the food and ambience of this place, have called in a few times now over the last couple of years. Slightly disappointed this visit as the hot pork roast sandwich was served with a cup of soup?? And about 4 chips ! There was definitely less meat on the bun and it was smaller Also we didn’t get any service with a smile from the main waitress on the door and bar who seemed like we were just an inconvenience Disappointed this visit Would we visit again, not sure , may try somewhere new next time in the area

We just had one very peaceful and comfortable night at The Inn. Fabulous room, wonderful people, delicious food and a great bar. The dogs were well catered for. Breakfast was outstanding. Honestly I can’t fault anything, we leave very happy and looking forward to coming back. Thanks to all the lovely staff for looking after us.

We stayed here for 2 nights recently, as we were attending Ripon Races. We were 2 couples - 1 of whom stayed in 1 of the garden lodges and 1 of whom stayed in 1 of the classic doubles. The garden lodge room was a lovely size, opening out onto a verandah within the garden/grounds, a very peaceful location. It was a lovely and comfortable room. The classic double room, whilst smaller, was well-appointed and had everything we needed. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was really tasty. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. Onsite parking was free of charge for guests. Next time we're coming for Ripon Races we will definitely stay here, it was a lovely hotel and we're very glad we booked to stay here!

I spent three nights at the Inn with my wife. The rooms are nice, as you can see from the pictures. They are in idyllic grounds next to the pub where you receive breakfast etc. They are very much detached from the pub which is an alleged hotel. I chose the hotel for its accessibility which ticked many of the boxes. The pub was a separate entity to the hotel, and never opened the accessible entrances to the grounds all of the mornings we stayed. My wife had to walk round into the hotel to open the doors, including the accessible marked entrance. My score of 2 is because the rooms looked nice, although very basic. Otherwise it would have been one. The third evening we chose to eat elsewhere as we were both sickened by the thought of eating in this place. WE actually ate twice here in the evenings, and most of the food was not eaten. It is not an experience I wish to repeat. The pub decor is dark and depressing, and they spent most breakfast times cleaning a table rather than open the doors to make guests welcome. I am partially disabled, most others staying at the hotel looked quite elderly. It would be nice not to have to walk an extra 15 metres / yards just to get into the hotel which was just a pub and had none of the facilities a good hotel would offer. Expensive, and awful.
