The staff are fantastic - friendly and really helpful and Willem went the extra mile to make us feel at home. There are really great facilities, the breakfast was very good and the really friendly staff even accommodated my carnivore diet needs without a fuss. Breakfast with the view out to sea was just beautiful, especially as we saw so many Red & Sika stags meandering around the hillside next to the hotel, whilst we ate our breakfast.. Not a cheap hotel, but actually fantastic value when you consider everything offered and the care taken to deliver a really great stay. Thanks for a lovely and relaxing stay.. Fred & Tamara Ps. Ignore the negative reviews about narrow roads and little things being outdated - nothing is perfect and hopefully these things will put other ****** off staying there and it will remain a lovely place without chavs ruining it for everyone else...

We stayed overnight at Soar Mill Cove Hotel for our wedding anniversary. It was truly fab. The drive up to the hotel is beautiful and the view is absolutely divine. We stayed in a garden room. It was fairly private with a pleasant aspect. The room was very clean, with a small fridge, plenty of storage and a bath with shower head. The bed was very comfortable. Our 3 course evening meal was most enjoyable. The French onion soup was the best I've ever tasted. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at this beautiful establishment.

We spent a much needed 3 night stay here in April 2022 (not September 2023) . The food was excellent. We loved the walk down to the cove and the location is great. We stayed in the Jenny Wren room, right opposite the lovely swimming pool. The room was very spacious. Salcombe is lovely, and I would highly recommend a trip to nearby National Trust owned Overbeck's Gardens and Agatha Christie's house, Greenway House, near Brixham, which you can also get to via a ferry from Dartmouth.

We visited the hotel restaurant on a short break while we were in the area. The food was absolutely delicious and the views from the restaurant window are stunning. Well worth a visit, especially if you have time to visit the small beach before hand.

Great stay! Two adults and two children in a beautiful room with the most amazing sea views. Lovely coastal walks, swimming down in the cove, and picnics. Then back for more swimming in the pool and great dinner and breakfasts. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely secluded hotel fantastic views. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent. Evening mills lots of choice couldn’t fault had a 3 night stay. Swimming pool was very small but nice please note not salt water better. Got lucky with the weather fantastic walking to Salcombe or hope cove. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Beautiful setting and first class service from all the staff our room was perfect and they thought of every detail also lovely Molton brown toiletries - views from the restaurant and the sea view rooms are gorgeous We will return and soon ! Good walks from the hotel also

We had a lovely weekend break here, it was such a relaxing stay for me and my partner, the area was lovely, the views were great and the staff were extremely kind!!! Just what we both needed. We will definitely be returning In the future, Thanks

We had a wonderful two night stay with our dogs. The Jenny Wren suite was perfect as it has an archway letting onto an area with two armchairs looking out onto the beautiful view. The fridge and the dogs' food were then tucked away out of sight of the main bedroom. The bedroom was extremely spacious with masses of storage. We made use of all the facilities on offer (swimming pool, gym, sauna) and also booked massages. The evening meal was very good (the ox cheek in particular!) and breakfast was excellent. A great spread of fruit, cold meats, cereals & pastries as well as a Full English and other cooked options.... including sausages for the dogs! Every member of staff was helpful and courteous. They couldn't have done more to make our stay very memorable.
