Spark by Hilton Clarks Summit

I wish I would have just stayed at the Comfort Inn for half the price. I am a Hilton Honors Member, and I am appalled. I had reserved the room a week ago, and when we pulled up all we could smell was ****. Like strong. Even after taking our bags up, when my husband returned to his truck, it still reeked like **** to the point he was worried it would linger in his truck after opening the door. This isn't in the greatest neighborhood and there was some shady business going on in the parking lot. Once we got checked in and walked down the hall to our room, the hallway smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Ok, we will just order delivery and lock the door. The bed was at least comfortable, and everything seemed to be clean, but you bet I checked the mattress for bed bugs just in case. When my husband took his shower this morning, the lever was jammed and he was only getting luke warm water. There was also a crack down the shower wall and water damage above it in the corner on the ceiling. I was a little concerned about mold. On our way through last week, we stayed at the Candlewood Suites. The bed was uncomfortable and wifi was spotty. Preferring the Hilton based on past stays at them on other trips, I reserved this room at this one, and it was a mistake.

Stayed one night and would stay here again if the price is 15 or20 cheaper than the best western or Hampton inn - which when I booked last minute it was. The breakfast is much more limited than those other places but it was clean and had a nice tv and a little fridge. They need to put plastic cups in the room or remember to grab a cup in the lobby to use to brush teeth so that was my only issue. I would stay here again for a ski trip to elk if it was that much cheaper but I wound up booking the best western for a weekend in the winter because it was I think 10 more a night and for two people the 10 is worth the better breakfast. I gave this 5 stars because it was what it advertised to be.

The breakfast is severely lacking! All that was available was plain bagels, and packaged muffins. I have been to budget hotels that offer much more for less $$ There was orange juice with extra fruit flies for protein and coffee. The beds were comfortable and the staff was welcoming. No coffee machine or microwave in the room, no cups or glasses in the room. Pretty bare bones and really a shockingly huge downgrade from Hilton regular offerings.

The was the worst Hilton property I have ever stayed at. The property should not have even been open; most of it was still under renovation. There was sawdust all over the hallway when we arrived. Breakfast was the worst; at 8:30am, the only food remaining were 3 bagels. The coffee was all out. The breakfast area has a posted seating capacity of only 8 people. There was nobody dedicated to keeping the breakfast stocked.

The bed was comfortable and the front desk staff was friendly. The room was utterly disgusting. It smelled moldy as soon as you entered. The black mold was visible and who knows what was under the wallpaper. Gross

This hotel was a stopover to our destination. Booked based on photos and location. Hotel was a disappointment upon arrival. Needs a good cleaning inside and out. Repairs are needed in every area of this hotel. Our front desk clerk was the best part of the stay. Nice & helpful.

Never again. Carpets are stained. Bathrooms are substandard with mildew. Would have left if I could get a refund. No laundry. Had the feeling that nothing in the room wad ever wiped down or clean. Overall not happy.

We stayed a year ago and our room was acceptable. This time the bed and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was ok. Front desk staff was great. The carpet was disgusting. I walked on it for only a couple minutes and they were dirty. The room and bathroom had signs of wear and this hotel needs renovations. Won’t stay again.

The price was reasonable, but I would not stay there again. The bathtub was not clean. There appeared to be coffee dripping in the bathtub. The sheets and pillowcases were dingy and wrinkled - not white at all. The carpet in the hallway and room was dirty and clearly stained. The place is dated and needs a complete renovation.
