I was sceptical of an airport hotel, but this was excellent! Had just been done up, small rooms certainly but comfortable beds. It was warm, central on the island & the living/ dining area was perfect! We really enjoyed our time here! Had dinner on the first night and it was like a good home cooked meal.

The moment you step in the hotel (assuming you can get in) there is a musty smell. The room is small and also musty. Getting in is a problem as you need a code which you cant get unless you get in and use the self check in. Luckily there was a repair man inside so he let me in and I was able to check in and get the code. The hotel is not as near the airport as is represented. 2 minutes? Really? If you have luggage its a bit of a walk down a gravel path (which you need to find first). There is no staff to assist. Read the reviews carefully before you book.

Very nice, clean and Cousy hotel. Good breakfast. 5 Minute walk from airport (there is an internal walking path from the airport). The only problem: There is a self check in, but they don't provide you any details about it. so you have to call them by phone and ask for the entrance code, which might be problem for a tourist. The free phone near the entrance door doesn't work.

It was very pricey compared to what the hotel had to offer. It would make sense to have a restaurant, café, lobby or something where the guest could at least order a evening snack, drink or something.

A basic hotel with self checkin which you do in the lobby. Doesnt always work but free phone if you have trouble. Try and get a backroom that overlooks the minigolf and hills otherwise you get the car park. Only self serve basic breakfast. Rooms basic but beds comfortable enough. Only choice really near airport

Checking in is not evident, especially at night, as there is no desk. Rooms are small, but the ones at the back have a nice view on the greenery. Breakfast is basic and OK. On walking distance of the airport. It’s also funny to watch the aripoirt from the breakfast room : 1 small building, 2 gates, and a fleet of three airplanes …

Hotel Vagar on Vagar Island is self-service unattended hotel. There is no reception, no even 1 person! The entry door is locked. When you make a reservation, you get en email with confirmation and PIN code for the entry door. When we arrived, the PIN code didn't work, so we could not enter the hotel! After about half an hour the cleaning lady passed threw and let us in. Then you have to fill in the check in form on the local tablet and if everything is OK, you get on the email a new PIN code to your room. But it will not happen even 1 minute before 14:00 (check in time), so after we filled the form, we have to wait another half an hour. The room is small. The grate advantage of this hotel is it's location: just 5 minute drive from the Vagar airport!

Check in is from 14:00. We arrived at 15:45 and no room was available when we arrived. We had to sit and wait until 16:30 to get our room. When we did go to bed one of the beds was in verry poor condition. It was really worn down and was on its last legs
