Hotel Bristol

We recently stayed here and can totally recommend this hotel. We had a room on the 8th floor with a balcony and the views of the sea, Sorrento town & Mount Vesuvius were absolutely amazing. The hotel is a really pleasant walk into Sorento town where it is very easy to get a boat trip, bus or train to all the local attractions. All of the above was a complete bonus to us as my main reason for choosing this hotel was for the reviews on how Celiac friendly it was. Again, this did not disappoint. On arrival, the Maitre De Luca introduced himself and pointed out everything on the menu that was GF or could be adapted - which was a brilliant choice and I never felt that I was missing out. I was offered bread at every meal- which he explained was toasted in a separate area of the kitchen- & their understanding of cross contamination reassured me at every meal. Luca and his team were so attentive and caring - I never felt a burden & I ate very, very well ( I am now on a diet!) The food was delicious from the the fresh omelettes at breakfast to the 3 course evening meals where I enjoyed various pasta dishes, gnocchi, risottos & lots of different fish and meat dishes along with profiteroles and a lovely lemon sponge dessert - which makes a nice change from fruit salad! The views from the restaurant, combined with the friendly, helpful and attentive staff made every evening a wonderful experience and I really hope to return to this beautiful hotel again soon. I would 100% recommend the Hotel Bristol to anyone wanting a luxurious Sorrento holiday in a great location.

A holiday 25 years in the making which lived up to expectation. The Hotel Bristol is lovely, it’s a very striking building in an amazing location. A 15 minute walk to Corsa Italia, the Main Street through Sorrento with a gentle hill down and back up to the hotel. What makes this hotel super special is the staff, they are amazing! If you read lots of reviews you will see Luccas name time and time again. He runs the restaurant, which you spend a lot of time in if you are half board, and is the loveliest man. The whole restaurant team seem to genuinely love what they do. They’re all fun and friendly, Carmine, Gian-Luca are just 2 that spring to mind and are worth a mention. The team in the bar and in the pool bar are all fabulous. The food was spectacular and genuinely, one of the meals we had was one of my favourite ever. Giuseppe is the head chef and also cooks eggs at breakfast. We really can’t recommend this hotel enough and we are already making plans to go back.

The hotel is like stepping back in time! The staff are so lovely! The food was incredible every night and the cocktails are to die for. The room was perfectly clean and the views are great. The pool area and gardens are very well maintained. Only a short walk to a shop, and just a little further is the town. I can’t wait to return to this hotel!

Stunning hotel with amazing food and great staff in a good location. The views of the bay and harbour are fantastic while you eat. The roof top pool is great. The rooms are very spacious. Sorento is a great place to visit as is The Amalfi coast and Pompeii.

This is our 4th time in Bristol Hotel fab weeks holiday, staff so professional, warm friendly, Luca ,Giuseppe, Carmen ,they made us feel very special, rooms spotless balcony great views ,food fab different menu each night ,travelled with topflight Wendy excellent tour guide .

The prices have increased and you can see cuts to the salad bar and accompaniments in the bar but the staff are excellent.
