I am not sure whether I would or would not recommend this hotel, but here are a few things worth noting: 1. This place is extremely isolated, it is not good if your aim is to explore Sicily (without a car). We relied on public transport, the train service is ok but the problem is the walk from the hotel to the station. It is NOT child friendly to walk these roads they are so dangerous with so many irresponsible drivers. There is very little designated pedestrian path, what an absolute joke. The hotel should state this beforehand. 2. We quickly became bored of the limited food options the hotel was offering, mostly had nothing vegan friendly and limited vegetarian options thay weren’t just pizza (it gets boring), nice restaurant across the road but the best are in Palermo City Centre which as I said is not way to get to, the hotel advertises 2km from centre which is a lie, ensure you look up on maps before you book. Hotel manager - if you are reading this - you need to offer a transfer service from the hotel to the train station, it is far too unsafe and irresponsible to leave your guests walking on a main road with no pedestrian path, people’s safety is no joke. 3. A massive shoutout to staff member Alessandra at the Cava Restaurant, super helpful and suggested places we could visit. Other staff helpful in booking excursions but no help at all when I mentioned dietary requirements, real lack of customer service training in my opinion. 4. As mentioned, this is isolated so you will have no access to a grocery shop in the local area, make sure to stop when in Palermo centre to get what you need, buying food in the hotel all the time gets really expensive. 5. NO DRINKING WATER - i have to highlight this as it’s so important, it seems Palermo has no safe drinking tap water but please keep in mind you have to purchase bottles of water, again this adds to your bill €€€
