R34 Boutique Hotel

The suite was spacious and nice looking. It's right next to the main pedestrian street. Its very convenient , you have a great variety of restaurants, bars and some stores. Most of the historical places around you. It was EXTREMELY NOISY, because the whole hotel is situated on the second floor and partially on the first was there is a Bar playing music very load and you can literally feel the Bass. If you have a car almost impossible to park in city center and you have to change car location every 2 hours (city center parking rules) There is no single large bed , all the beds are twins , which we found to be uncomfortable. Aslo there was no hot water during the night, waited about 10 mins for it and nothing

Amazing location, a few steps from Vitosha Blvd and most touristic sights - easier for walking than the big chain hotels at higher price points. Excellent value. It more like a serviced aparthotel than a full service hotel, so if you don't care about parking, in-house breakfast etc, it's a great choice. Bonus: there's a Lidl supermarket right around the corner so you can fill the mini fridge conveniently and cheaply. Design on-point and nine of the issues others have posted with respect to noise. The plumbing is fine. The hot water is obviously 'on demand' (not a surprise as it's in what I assume is an old soviet apartment block) but nothing running the shower for a few minutes doesn't rectify. Putting TP in the bin is a drag but not uncommon in southern Europe and ancient cities in general. Not a deal killer. Maybe could have done with a deep clean -there was dust in the light and a hair on the shower tile, but nothing egregious. Staff member was really helpful and the door codes were provided in advance, contrary to other posts here. Overall, a stylish stay in a brilliant location at a great value price. Would def recommend.

Hotel is located right in the center of town. The room is spacious with lots of storage. Very modern with a big bathroom. Ac and hot water. No issues from our end. Hotel reception is not 24/7 but I was contacted when I arrived at airport to confirm check-in time. The entry to the hotel is made with a pin no hotel card that you lost or gets deactivated. Wi-Fi had a bad signal sometimes it would work and sometimes not. I used my ph intent most of the time. Would stay again.

This was a great boutique hotel, though a little different then I expected. Located just a half block from  the center of Vitosha Boulevard, it is easy access to all the shops and cafes that line the boulevard. There are few amenities save coffee and tea offered in the room, so be prepared to fend for yourself for meals, another advantage to being so close to Vitosha. There is always someone available by phone but the desk is not manned 24/7. The two young ladies I had contact with were always friendly and helpful. All entries are done by code so it's a good idea to take a picture of the card with the codes on it. Should I find myself in Sofia again I would not hesitate to stay at R34.
