I spent here 9 out of 31 booked days. I chose this accommodation because of the good reviews but on the first day it turned out that this is far from the truth. The door and the windows in the room, and walls in the bathroom were full of damp and mold. Don't bother informing the host about this, because you will get an answer that they "can't control the humidity". I think that if Malta has high humidity level you should take more care of cleanliness and it would be enough to wipe damp places to remove the mold before the guests arrive. I removed the mold myself from the window frames, doors and floor as I meant to stay for a whole month. Additionally, the bathroom was very cold and without any heating, so going there in the morning was a challenge. The room itself has heating so it was ok when turned on, but the bathroom was still very cold. The most important thing is that in the winter season, it is impossible to use common areas such as the living room, kitchen and dining room because all windows and doors in these areas are permanently opened, even at night or when it rains. The host keeps them open to keep the areas aired because of the humidity. The temperature in these areas was 14 degrees only. The walls in these rooms are also covered in mould (you will not see this in the listing photos). Moreover, during check-in, the host said that towels are changed on request and they can sweep the floor if needed. After 7 days of stay, I kindly asked for the towel change and to sweep the floor. The host agreed to do it the next morning. I waited 2 days and nothing happened. Moreover, the listing said that the washing machine is included. There was no information about extra costs in the listing at all, but when I asked about the washing machine, the host said that it costs €10 because I paid "very little" for the stay (I paid nearly €600) and she said that I shouldn't expect it to be included in the price. I don't hide the fact that the washing mashine was very important to me during such a long stay. When I showed my dissatisfaction with having to pay for something that was included as per listing, the host immediately suggested relocation and she said that she already asked Airbnb to find something else for me. It looked like they wanted to get rid off guests who showed any dissatisfaction, rather than focus on solving the problems. I reported this to Airbnb myself and received an immediate refund for the remaining 21 days. The very next day, I left this accommodation after finding myself an entire apartment for a similar price with a private kitchen and bathroom, including a washing machine. Similar price but much higher standard. Don't be fooled by big discounts for longer stays which they offer. Accommodation here is not even worth €20 per night. I do not recommend this place. I give 2 stars only because of the location.
