This was a typical HI Express. The room was okay, the breakfast was mediocre. The bed was on the hard side, the pillows too squishy. The carpet was gritty as if it hadn't been vacuumed. There were basic towels in the bathroom. The bathroom was ... just barely okay. The shower curtain was too short and prone to leaking. The plug in the tub had to be propped open or the tub would start to fill during a shower, and the water is a miserable shade of dirty brown, so you want that going down the drain, not pooling at your ankles. The body wash in the shower didn't work properly, although it was full, so I had to use the shampoo. Also, we paid for a King Suite, but this really wasn't a suite - just a room with a king-sized bed and a sofa-bed in the same space. The A/C unit was very loud, and there were so many LED lights in the room that I had to cover them to get the room dark enough to sleep: coffee maker, microwave, TV, modem (had several lights), smoke detector and more, and I had to put a towel at the bottom of the door to block out the bright light from the hallway.

The staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable & very clean. The breakfast was very good . A big variety of food was available . Lots of parking wifi . Close to shopping & restaurants . Would highly recommend. It was very quiet during the night .

Room was clean and tidy. Heat works. Quiet and convenient for travel. Free breakfast is good. Couple of machine broken though. Staff was pleasant. Easy parking and close to shops and restaurants. I would stay again. I was in a king suite with ample room for myself.

Great hotel. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The lady that checked us in and out did everything she could to make our stay more comfortable. Rooms were nice. Shampoo /conditioner/ body wash was available in the bathroom. It was also locked in so no tampering possible. We will definitely stay here again. You just can’t beat walking in to see a smiling friendly face.

This location has very great staff!! The beds are super comfortable and I can’t sY enough about the pillows. Rooms are always very clean. Front desk is always helpful and eager to get whatever you need! Would stay a million times over!! Would totally recommend holiday inn express Slave Lake to everyone.

Great, friendly service. Thank you sooo very much to the lady who was working Friday afternoon (July 8)!!! As she was checking me and my husband into the hotel, she noticed that my drivers licence was about to expire in three days. She was also able to provide me with information about the nearest registries office, and I was able to renew it the next day in Slave Lake. Life has been busy :0) Thank you again for bringing this to my attention and for providing a great suggestion.
