On checking in, was informed that there was no lift and we were on the top floor I am 80 yrs old with mobility difficulties. There was no mention of this when booking on line. Was told they were fully booked and no other room available. The room was so cold. The radiator needed bleeding. It was slightly warm at the bottom and cold at the top. A five minute job to fix. Was told someone would sort it, but it never happened. Asked for a heater but apparently another guest requested one but it didn’t work so nothing was available! Ended up sleeping in the bath robe to keep warm. On a positive note - the food was good. Disappointing experience.

We have been several times before and loved the full experience, not this time. Some of the staff were ok but felt it was very sloppy service. The meal was not served up in the room we used to eat in we ate in a room which was like a conference room. We don’t like eating in the same room as dogs, we used to have one but would never take it into the dining room. There was also a curtain hanging from the railings, scruffy! We had to ask for more milk yesterday morning for our cereals and today they didn’t bring any. There was a choice of 3 cereals but had ran out of one of them today. As someone else commented it was margarine not butter, awful. We thought that the meal was not up to standard especially the salmon starter it was very thin and slimy. On a positive note my husbands steak was excellent,

This is a handsome hotel in a glorious situation. Comfortable, high spec bedrooms & bathrooms all with lovely views. However, on this occasion the meals were not up to previous standards. Margarine has replaced butter at both breakfast & dinner service & cafetière coffee was weak & watery. Meal prices have increased sharply, with a deterioration in quality. Sadly, therefore I do not expect to return to The Devonshire Fell.

What a stunning location. We enjoyed two nights here and the value for money on our Travelzoo Offer was outstanding. Our room (no 4 Cracoe) provided a wonderful view of the River Wharfe and the surrounding fells. It was warm and very comfortable. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful and the evening meal was of a very high standard. Breakfast was very good too (eggs benedict - yum!) and served to the table. I personally like to choose my own cereal, fruit etc from a buffet, but that's just my preference. There are no lifts (as expected) so as we are older now, we were grateful with the help to carry our cases upstairs. My gold standard is always "Would I go back?" Yes please. As soon as possible! Thank you.

Beautifully clean and smart, very friendly staff. Standard of evening meal has deteriorated. Fish pie £26.50) very small containing just 2 cubes of salmon and half a hard boiled egg. Not acceptable it was more like a starter. We have been several times before and previously much better

I spent a fabulous weekend at the Devonshire Fell with my sisters to celebrate my younger sister's 60th birthday. The rooms are spotless, quiet and comfortable with amazing views over the countryside. We had dinner in the restaurant both nights and the food was delicious, as was breakfast. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We visited the village of Burnsall and walked along the river (gorgeous views), and also drove to Bolton Abbey. We also spent time in the spa at the Devonshire Arms hotel, a short drive away (available to guests at the Devonshire Fell) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Spas are often overcrowded but the booking system ensured that this one wasn't. Overall a peaceful, relaxing weekend in beautiful surroundings. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Devonshire Fell, The Rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were really comfy. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, Especially Luke nothing ever seemed to much, The Two waitress on Friday 27th Evening service were absolutely brilliant. They were very busy but they didn’t let it show. Breakfast was amazing nice sausages definitely locally sourced. This hotel isnt overly busy which suited me perfectly as I struggle with anxiety so I never became overwhelmed once. Village location is fantastic and the views beautiful. Great hotel to stay in if you want to visit Grassington and then come back to peace and quiet.

My wife and I stayed at the Devonshire Fell Hotel for a short break on our way to the York Christmas Market. The Hotel is set out in the middle of the Yorkshire country side and is such a delightful place to stay. The entrance is warm and friendly with a lovely log fire greeting you as you go in. The Staff, especially Dani and Luke were so helpful and friendly. Our granddaughter was with us and no matter what she asked for they were able to provide. The rooms are large , although in need of a little modernisation , but so very comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel to anyone.

As soon as we arrived the service was excellent. Danni welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. I must give a special mention to Luke, upon hearing it was our anniversary he got the guys in the kitchen to do us a special anniversary dessert .....THANKYOU so much
