What an amazing find, great Greek family run hotel in the most beautiful location, wonderful hosts, great apartment super clean, fresh towels every day with brilliant shower ample hot water. The pool area and bar is super relaxing and added bonus of on site restaurant so no need to travel out if you want food…. For the first time in all of my trips to Skiathos this is one place I was more than happy to spend the entire day. The family that run the hotel are lovely, really welcoming and take great care of all of their guests… I will be returning in August and have recommended to all of my friends…. Book you won’t be disappointed!

This is Greek hospitality! Experienced so many times in Greece but never fails to make my heart sing. They know how to make you feel like your staying with relatives!! The accommodation, pool and gardens are spotless, the service is excellent. Lovely area to relax day and night. As a solo traveller you may need to get a taxi after dark which is very easy to do around 10-20 Euros. Maybe not the easiest place for this reason. The walk to the nearest beach would not suit anyone who is not able to do a woody path or get the bus and then 10-15 mins along the road. It’s authentic and wonderful xx

Fairly basic self catering accommodation, but far outweighed by the welcoming and very helpful staff. A great shout out for Eleni and Theo, where nothing was too much trouble. Issue with the bed was resolved very quickly. Great relaxed bar/pool area. Rooms were very clean with very good daily room service. Quiet location, which is very clear in the accommodation information, so a car is very helpful. I would highly recommend and will definately return.

Villa Christina is nestled up In the hills in pine trees - the location is lovely and quiet. The hosts were welcoming, attentive and good fun. Any little issues were immediately resolved without fuss. The gardens are immaculate and tended regularly. The rooms are a little tired but the cleaning was superb and towels changed very frequently. The swimming pool is lovely and clean and a chilled relaxing space - plenty of sun beds and bar well stocked and owner was very accommodating with our changing drinks order. … we’d hired a car (recommended) so didn’t eat at the hote much but can definately recommend the chicken club, pizza (lovely thin base) agot to mention eleni’s cheesecake is to die for (we had it every night when we got back in) . Thanks for a lovely holiday and we’d definately recommend xxx

What a lovely quiet retreat with a very personal touch. Elena and her colleagues work so very hard and are very accommodating. We did take my 82 year old mum, so felt it necessary to hire a car, although we knew that Villa Christina was fairly remote prior to booking. The bedding, towels etc were very clean and the gardens were beautifully kept. The pool bar and food served was good. All in all a lovely 10 night stay. Elema, if you get to see this I haven’t divorced my husband 🤣🤣 if you know you know! Mandy, Trev & Pam :)

This hotel is in a more remote yet lovely location. 12 minute walk up hill / 7 minute downhill to main road where you'll find bus stop no. 13 that takes you to Skiathos town, Koukanaries, or anywhere along that stretch. Beautiful setting, large well maintained gardens. Plenty of sunbeds but wasn't too busy so can't say whether the number of sunbeds would be an issue in summer. Food was ok the times we ate there; toasties, special omelette, pancakes, pizza etc. is all that we had so I can't comment on the other menu items. No ice-cream and therefore no milkshakes either which was a shame given we had a child with us and the weather was definitely warm enough to warrant this, especially as stayed on menu they had this. Rooms were clean and maintained daily by frieny housekeeping staff. The beds were hard and not very comfortable but we have experienced the same at other hotels in Greece. Rooms could do with an overhaul / updating but suited us and we only used as a base. The room we had, offered a small fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, cups and spoons (we were room only). We hired a jeep via the apartment but this was a battered tin can, old, rusty (rust flakes kept falling on us), damp stains on the roof, speedometer didn't work, engine light on and off, indicators were temperamental and it wasn't cheap so I'd recommend finding your own vehicle rental or use the bus as it's cheap and frequent (if the walk to it isn't sn issue for you). Dio and Elena were nice and attentive when we needed them. Left us in peace rather than being overly attentive and allowed us to simply enjoy our holiday at our pace. Medium sized pool but was very cold at this time of year so we barely used it. Could have done with a clean as quite a bit of debris at the bottom amd on the steps (it had been pretty windy on some days so am sure this is why). Sunbeds were fixed when broken and comfortable cushions on them. Gardens were immaculate. All in all we had a lovely hiday and would stay here again.

Villa Christina what can we say!, we stayed here last June 2023 for one week, my good lady wife and I and what an amazing week we had but just wasn’t long enough, and so booked again but this time for 2 weeks June/July 2024. After a fantastic Flight in from Manchester and the exciting landing into Skiathos JSI we were collected in the minibus and driven up our favourite road leading to Villa Cristina, where we received the most lovely welcome from Miltos, Elena, Dio & the rest of the Villa Christina family, we were even honoured to meet the family Mum this time and she was lovely too. This beautiful home is a true diamond, stunning well-kept grounds, lawns & gardens, immaculate pool area & bar where the wonderful Dio & Miltos are on hand to serve up your favourite refreshing drinks (ours is the Iced Mythos hmm) and the superb restaurant where the lovely Elena prepares home cooked delights served freshly on a daily basis, her food is gorgeous!. We always stay in the same room as we love it and has everything that you require for self-catering but no need to be cooking in 38 degrees every day when there are lovely snacks and home cooked meals available all day pool side 😊. The rooms are cleaned daily by the fantastic and polite house-keeping staff, left in immaculate condition daily THANK YOU. The Villa is set in a beautiful location surrounded by pine forests and walks. The little walk down the road to the bus stop is lovely offering superb view points for pictures and a beer break, the bus stop offers busses daily that will take you to Skiathos and anywhere else that you fancy an adventure to, there is a bus stop opposite this one too which will take you the opposite way around the island, easy to use, cheap and great fun albeit they can get busy. There are two main shops close enough to Villa Christina, one opposite the bus stop and one down the road towards kanapitsa beach and both offer everything that you may need. Skiathos town is brilliant and offers plenty of shops, restaurants, boat trips and more importantly culture. My wife and I are out most days until late as we love to adventure and the location of Villa Christina is perfect as there are at least 5 beaches nearby and you always have the option to rent a car or quad bike but we love getting out on foot, taking care for the huge black ants the size of chihuahuas lol ! – Dropping the towels down on the sand for a few hours, swimming in the beautiful calm sea, maybe an Ouzo at the beach bars then adventuring a little further, the Sunset at Vromolimnos beach is amazing too then a steady walk up the pine path back to Villa Christina for a Mythos or Ouzo or three and a chat with the family 😊 then settle on the balcony listening to the owls and watching the stars with a glass of wine!. We love this place, it’s a beautiful Gem run by lovely people and kept beautiful through their hard work, THANK YOU all, catch up next June 2025 – Dan & Lisa XXXXX Yamas!

We were met by Elena as it seems most people are on arrival and she was pleasant and joking and showed the new arrivals to their rooms , unfortunately as the days went on her tone turned quite abrupt and the original happy welcome seemed quite stage managed . Villa Christina is in a pretty location but be under no illusions the hill is 150 yards off a mile , going down is fine it takes a good 20 mins , going back up is a steady climb to start with but gets steeper further up , you will need plenty of get your breath stops , and unless you are a Olympian you will not do it in less than 30 mins .In reality you need transport, the supermarket is on the main road and you will struggle to bring any shopping up by hand .We didn't eat much at the apartments but the carbonara was delicious the one night we did . Our apartment was acceptable but needs a serious update especially the bathroom, on the last day I found one of the apartments advertised on their website , I felt like I was on bullseye and shown " this is what you could have won " hopefully the one we stayed in will one day be up to that standard . All in all a nice quiet base to stay in , but we did feel because we didn't really spend too much money there we were shunned by the staff , we were not alone thinking this . We love Skiathos but sadly won't be returning to Villa Christina, the location is too remote and you will definitely have to factor in transport to get to it , which can push up the price of your holiday , there are friendlier places closer to the bus stops .
