Kassandra Bay Resort, Suites & Spa

From the moment we arrived we were met with the most loveliest smiley staff that I have ever come across in a hotel. The reception manager is an asset to the hotel he sees all and makes sure everything runs smoothly in a quiet and assured manner. The waiting on staff are fabulous, attentive without being intrusive. Kelly is another asset, but whoever trained the staff needs a mention too. The lifeguard who helped then man in the wheelchair brought a tear to my eye he was so caring. A wonderful experience was had. Thank you all.

We have had another wonderful holiday at Kassandra Bay. The setting, food,cleanliness and atmosphere are second to none. My husband is in a wheelchair and all staff , without exception supported and looked after him with great kindness and compassion ensuring no areas in the hotel weren’t accessible to him. The biggest asset the hotel has is its wonderful staff from the cleaners, restaurant staff and management who carry out their roles with a smile. My husband would like to particularly thank the lifeguard who was always there to help him to the beach or into the pool.

This was the 3rd visit to KBS. The previous visits to the suites were great, designated breakfast area, occasional sparkling wine offered but the best reason for paying more for the suites is the access to the infinity pool, a haven of calm tranquility, away from the hustle and bustle of the main hotel area.. or... it used to be. This visit saw the infinity area with a fair number of people who don't understand quiet pool etiquette.. Loud, piercing voices and raucous laughter from groups , towels on empty sunbeds which didn't see a body on them for ages, playing music, not through personal headphones but phone or small speakers so we all had to share their musical tastes in 1950s rock n roll and a female couple getting intimate in the pool and whipping off their tops to sunbathe (very 1970s) A very different experience and one, which sadly, we won't repeat. The refurb at KB seems to have encouraged a very different feel to what was previously a real haven,even the pillows were as hard as bricks, not sure what the filling was but so heavy, I needed 2 hands to chuck it on the floor. However the staff, as on previous visits were excellent, friendly and willing.

Wonderful stay with my three sons and daughter in law. We celebrated two birthdays whilst here and were made to feel very special. A special shout out to Mary who organised everything and also Nikos the restaurant and bar manager and his wonderful team. We had a few dietary requirements and the staff and chefs were so accommodating. Loved the bar area for lunch, cards, relaxing and very complicated iced latte orders!!! (sorry about that) We didn't come across a single staff member who wasn't friendly and helpful. There are a few little things that you get in other 5 star hotels that weren't here, but for me it's all about the service and people who make the holiday :)

On the whole very good. Probably a 4 star. Good location and boat 4 euros to town works well. Note there is a short walk on the beach to reach the jetty. Bus 2 euros taxis 12 euros to town 20 euros to airport. Staff all charming with special mention to our dedicated concierge at the Suites. However all their efforts tainted by rude hotel OWNER who seemed to think it acceptable to have a mobile phone conversation on speaker in the Perlagos bar. Unfortunately he was also hard of hearing so both ends were shouting. When I pointed out this was extremely unacceptable to his guests trying to enjoy a quiet Spritz and enjoying the view he shouted at me saying he was doing business - doesn't he have an office? All quite unpleasant. Good shower although the door frame was missing inside the bathroom - shabby. Could have done with an additional chair in the bedroom. Wardrobe needed an area for us ladies with long dresses. Mozzie screen a Godsend we survived a whole week without a bite. Special mention to our housekeeper. Despite numerous notices sunbeds reserved at Infinity pool and one day 2 beds not used all day. Unfortunately one starts and everyone then follows. There are only 18 beds with shade. The other section of beds needs umbrellas and this would help. Only ate breakfast which was in keeping with standard of hotel. Didn't use gym or spa. Bar service excellent for post dinner snifter.

Me and my family stayed at Kassandra Bay for 1 week, which was a nice hotel with extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately and given a drink, and during the trip the staff were very attentive always walking around the pool and beach for drink orders, and quick to offer coffee and tea at breakfast (special thanks to Kelly, Olga and Athena who were great). The bar area was nice and there’s different areas you can sit with a drink overlooking the sea. The lunch offering was good too, and the restaurant menu look yummy although we sadly didn’t get chance to eat there! The hotel itself was very clean, with two pools and it’s own beach which was an asset, and an added bonus was the regular water taxi to take you into Skiathos town for 4 euros each. There’s some room for improvement with the standard of the cocktails, quality of breakfast offering (which was nice but small things like the ‘3 minute’ boiled eggs were always over cooked, which I got everyday in the hope of a runny egg), and some form of entertainment or music round the pool to give a bit more atmosphere in the day would have been nice. Overall it was a lovely day with family, thank you
