Ocean Road Motel

Great location close to Apollo Bay but quiet and with amazing views as is right on the ocean. Friendly host and room had everything we needed. The heater and electric blanket was left on for us as weather was freezing which was such a lovely thought and much appreciated. Shower was fantastic-and while the bathroom looked a little older it was clean and functional. Room was comfy, clean and warm. Was a great spot for two nights and allowed us to explore the area- redwood forest, maits rest rainforest walk, Apollo Bay etc. Was also pleasantly surprised how quiet the room was - could only hear the sea at night - was wonderful. Definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area.

NO WIFI, No internet connection for cell phone, Insects and spiders and their webs inside of the room, smelly hotel room due to no fly screens installed so windows were closed all times, dusty sheets and the room was very close to common BBQ area (food smell and noise), Not allowed to use kitchen facilities in the room…

Manager was very friendly. Rooms are in need of massive update. Old bed was slightly uncomfortable . Very old bathroom original 1960’s fittings, heater was small but adequate, no sheers on curtains. Rooms are clean. Parking directly outside room is bonus.

Great place for a weekend stay, over the road from the beach, awesome sleeping listening to the waves. Wendy and Paul are terrific hosts and made us feel very welcome. It’s a great place to have friends and family there for a function. Meals were beautiful, very reasonable rates and VERY comfy beds.
