Hjorths Badehotel

We got a nice, spacious room in an annex to the main hotel. It was clean and bright, in fact dark curtains would have been welcome at night. The bed was very comfortable and wide. There was no in-room safe but we could deposit valuables in the reception. The first two days the WiFi did not work at all, and then only in the main house. There was no refrigerator, nor any TV (not important for us) or A/C. But heat rarely gets opressive here, and it’s a windy place. You can walk down to the sea in a few minutes from there, but the west coast is often windy, and during our visit it was certainly not inviting to dip into the choppy water. It also rained most of the time, which is not the hotel's fault, but it impacted our stay. We enjoyed the daily breakfast with its Greek yogurt and fresh breads. We had a couple of dinners there as well. One was a standard package of three courses, served with great elaboration bordering on the ceremonial, but with some misses. With all the extra amuse-bouches it became overwhelming, so we settled for an a la carte meal next time.
