Hampton Inn & Suites Sioux City/South

Clean and fresh ... The hotel is as one would expect from a newer Hampton Inn. Not much to offer for outdoor space though, if you like to grab a smoke and drink in the evenings, which we do. I tail-gated and felt safe doing so. I'd give a 4.5 if I could.

Very nice, clean and quiet hotel. It is located in a nice area with plenty of shopping around and easy access to the highway. the staff was friendly and the breakfast is the typical HI breakfast. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

New Hotel that is clean, quiet, and secure. I can easily see why it’s so highly rated. Stay on the 4th floor for maximum quiet comfort. Very good quality beds and a great air conditioner complete the package. The hotel is Easy to find in a retail/commercial area.

The hotel and the rooms are fine. The check-in experience was less than stellar. I booked and paid for a room with two beds. When we arrived to check-in, they claimed they did not have any rooms remaining with two beds. I promptly called the Hilton Diamond help desk and they resolved the situation in a satisfactory and efficient manner. A big thank you to the Hilton Diamond help desk for helping to make this stay satisfactory.

ABSOLUTELY WORST STAY OF MY LIFE!! Within minutes if checking into the room my service dog found old food under the couch and consumed it. She has very serious GI and IBD issues which she takes medication for daily. I notified a lady at the front desk about this right away. No clue her name because she wore no name tag, most of the employees didn't wear name tags or uniforms. She apologized and offered to change rooms. I told her we already unpacked and it already happened so what was the point. I showed her pictures of the food we found under the couch, crackers, jelly substance, and what look to be old dog treats. I asked her to vacuum to make sure everything was cleaned up. Woke up the next morning to find my dog had pooped all over the bed because of whatever she ingested. Found a male housekeeper and told him what happened the day before and my dog's medical issues. He ensured me he would come in at 9am to change the bedding when we would be out. We came back at 2:30 pm and found nothing had been changed or cleaned. Went to the front desk to explain everything that happened again, what we were told by the gentleman and how upset that our dog's health was at risk because they didn't properly clean their rooms. Front desk called the house keeping manager. I went to explain to her what happened and how the gentleman said he would clean the bedding. I also explained if they would have just checked us into a clean room this wouldn't be an issue. She made excuses that the guy had a emergency and had to leave. I told her he could have told her or someone else to do it. She was very rude and did not tak accountability for their laziness of not fully cleaning the room before checking us into it. Coming back to a dirty bed because they can't follow through was the last straw. They take no accountability, no empathy and my dog had to be hospitalized when we returned home due to the junk she ingested. This is so far below Hilton standard, and this hotel's management should be ashamed at how below standards

As most Hampton Inns, it met my expectations, and is easy to get to. I request rooms far from the elevator to avoid the noise associated with them. I ended up right next to the stairs on the second floor. Some young guys were "having fun" jumping down them, which made a loud thudding sound. I spoke respectfully with them, informing them that it was loud, and they apologized and stopped. Fortunately it was early in the evening. During the night, when one is sleeping, there were no issues whatsoever. So, if you want to catnap in the afternoon, don't pick a room by the stairs or the elevator. The staff was excellent, especially Shannon, Jess, and Christina. The breakfast was good, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, housekeeping was excellent. The room itself, #230, was rather expansive for one king bed. Bigger than most rooms I stayed at on this trip.

I was happy with the room and hotel and found it to be clean. The staff just is not friendly and the front desk was very short with me. I am a Diamond Member of Hilton and usually I get a very warm greeting and extra good treatment. I didn't even get a, "hello"- just got a, "last name?"

Nice,clean hotel located downhill from a shopping mall. Our king room was very comfortable and the bath contained a sink area with a large countertop. The staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants and also providing directions.

Terrible service. Rashel McCue should have been on site with as many things going wrong for ours and the dozens of guests waiting in the lobby 2 1/2 hours after hotels noted check in time. One elevator for a sold out hotel with three floors. Our initial contact at 3:15 for a HH 3pm check in was rooms were ready waiting for sheets? A 1/2 hour time frame for availability was given. We got the first of our three rooms booked in January at nearly 5:30 pm. The male staff was so indifferent commented "it happens" here's the GMs card. We have stayed at this property before. Other choices next time.
