We were unfortunate to travel during low season, which in Koh Rong means 99% rain everyday, by conversations with locals they are fully aware of this yet all bookings and activities are business as usual but cannot be enjoyed, such as snorkling, BBQ boat etc. because of the weather we were stuck in the hotel 90% of the time, there is NO TV (it does say in room amenities, I read too late) so just be aware, specially if travelling with little ones. The pool is not an option because of thunder and lighting. It costs 15USD to get to the hotel from the pier. There is no ATM on the island only one stall that lets you use your card to pay the local then they give you the money, this is charged at 8% 😡 This is important because for lack of internet connection you cant always use card to pay at restaurant for your lunches and dinner, also when you can, there is a 3% fee to do so. All activities must also be paid in USD but old rugged bills are not accepted even if they have been given to you by other traders ib the island or if the bills got a bit wet in the rain, which was a frequent problem.So come with plenty of new dollars or you'll find yourself stuck with little options. the night before check out, we asked the staff to please let the ferry company know we would be taking the 9:30am ferry to Sihakouville (as instructed by the ferry company). We booked a 9:00am return trip to the pier as recommended. However as we arrived the ferry was leaving, at 9:15. We were not the only ones left behind. Some people had a flight to catch later that day and were made to pay another 17USD per person as according to them it was ”impossible” to fit them into one of the almost-empty-boats of one of the other many ferry companies, because they dont work together, some families payed up to 70USD to not miss their flight despite it not being their fault. The hotel was standard, for a beach hotel, nice huts, the beds were clean and comfortable and the highlight was definitely the food at the restaurant, over the 4 days, we tried many dishes all of them delicious. I can imagine during sunny season it must be a beautiful location and a beautiful hotel. saying this, I already thought it was overpriced for low season compared to similar hotels in Thailand and Bali, so for me the price you would pay in high season I would not consider it, specially given the whole experience with the ferry and USDs. ☹️

Perfect location on Sok San Beach with magic water to swim right out front. Bioluminescent plankton out the front at night. Very friendly and helpful staff. We are so happy we stayed here for 5 nights with our family. We would return and highly recommend it to other families.

Long Beach Resort está ubicado en un lugar tan hermoso que nunca querrás irte. La playa se extiende por millas en cualquier dirección, la arena es prístina y el esnórquel en la orilla puede ser tan bueno como en cualquier otro lugar de estas islas. El personal es muy amable y puede ayudar a organizar cualquier cosa para usted. Use Facebook para ponerse en contacto para la recogida en lugar del correo electrónico. Wifi funciona bien cerca del restaurante, de lo contrario, solo ciertas tarjetas SIM tienen señal. El desayuno podría ser mejor, pero por lo demás la comida del restaurante es muy buena. Definitivamente me quedaría de nuevo.

Hay una lancha rápida especial para este hotel, puede comprar el boleto de la lancha rápida directamente, es muy conveniente para una persona ir y venir de 27 dólares. Aproximadamente 1 hora en barco, puede ir directamente al muelle del hotel. La playa del hotel es muy bonita y el parque del hotel también es especialmente adecuado para tomar fotografías. No es necesario editar imágenes en absoluto. ¡El paisaje es muy hermoso! También hay pavos reales en el parque, que a los niños les encantan, y hay conejos en la presentación del hotel, pero todos están muertos después de preguntar. La única insatisfacción es que el desayuno es muy malo, básicamente no hay nada para comer, el almuerzo y la cena se ordenan en el restaurante del hotel, los platos ordenados son buenos, y hay papas fritas, hamburguesas y pizzas de comida rápida en el parque. A los niños les gusta. La comida, la higiene de la habitación no es mala, mucho mejor que otros hoteles en la isla de Koh Rong. Este hotel es más adecuado para que juegue una familia, y puedes ver el visón cuando navegas, ¡lo cual es muy interesante!

Excellent place to stay if you like peace and quiet and being surrounded by natural beauty! Everyone was so friendly - it was lovely talking to to the woman with the little boy, she made us feel very welcome and her English was excellent! The food was delicious and good portion sizes. There’s a pool table and bar. It overlooks the most incredible beach which was so empty! There are hammocks and a swing on the beach- very relaxing. The room was clean and tidy, and the mosquito net worked well! We rented bikes for $15 and went around the whole island. Thank you for the hotel staff for teaching us how to ride it! Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! *if you’re staying here bring some water, soap, shampoo and toothbrush ect with you as it’s not provided. Also the wifi only works in the main area but smart mobile 4g has good signal* ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

También en la construcción de la decoración, la recepción está muy incómoda en el camino a la habitación de huéspedes, hay que pasar por el baño de cocina en el camino, grandes descuentos, no hay detalles, la playa no es muy limpia, el servidor no puede hablar inglés, es difícil de comunicar. La luz de la habitación no se abre la noche, habrá muchos insectos super grandes, hay muchos junto a la piscina de la habitación, no se puede nadar.

¿Nos encantaría volver? Teníamos una habitación doble superior con asientos afuera en la terraza. La televisión no funcionaba, una pena aunque no la necesitáramos. Nuestro bungalow estaba un poco detrás del gimnasio: excelente ubicación y distancias cortas. Artículos de higiene, secador de pelo y caja fuerte disponibles. 2 botellas de agua gratis todos los días. El único inconveniente es que el aire acondicionado sopla directamente a los ojos. Pequeña zona de piscina que desemboca en la gran piscina con vistas al mar. Faltan algunos mosaicos en el grupo, pero se agregan/reparan de vez en cuando. Suficientes tumbonas en la playa. Detalles sobre el desayuno buffet con una selección para todos, p. ej. café/té/té de limón/jugo/agua/muesli/salchichas/frijoles/gajos de patata/tortitas/3 tipos de fruta/pan tostado/panecillos/mermelada/miel/mantequilla de maní /estación de huevos/estación de sopas/buffet de ensaladas/arroz y fideos al horno y huevos duros. Personal servicial y amable

Firstly, I apologize for being not careful enough to read the hidden details about the room I booked in a rush, due to lots of other reasons related to bad logistics provided by the bus company and ferry operators. At the site, after the check-in, when I was presented with the property, I was quite shocked that the whole hut had just a simple zip line as a doorway, and at the bottom it was locked with the lock though all the other length of the “gates” had a full access to the insides. The shared WC was a total shock, too poor and too tiny and too weirdly placed right at the hut side. The location was awful too: in the middle of the construction/ demolishing site and with the dump gutter on the other side, with the full access to the major pavement where travelers either hanging around or eating. I had no willing to check the “private beach”, definitely it was common and somewhere in front of the bar lane. In a word, the conditions were pretty miserable. Not corresponding with the ecstatics feedbacks.

It’s a nice place and price, right next to the longest beach , there are many restaurants, clubs around, and Sam was really helpful on answering my loads of questions about locations and arrangements. Highly recommend.
