Medana Resort Lombok

This hotel is a wonderful family run hotel, the owner and her son and daughter were nothing short of amazing and there’s nothing they couldn’t do for us! The rooms are beautiful and spotless, the food in the on site restaurant was delicious and the whole resort is just absoutely beautiful! I could not recommend this place enough and I can’t WAIT to go back one day because I’d go back to Lombok just for this hotel! There are also dogs that the owners have that roam around the resort and they are so friendly and kind, my favourite was Sasha!

Booked this hotel last minute due to a change in our travel plans. The owners could not have been more helpful. We arrived late but having let the owners know in advance this wasn’t an issue and the son was there to meet us when we arrived and showed us to our room. Seeing we were tired after a long day of travel he said no need to complete check in at that point, we could sort it on the morning. Room was huge and exactly what we needed, lovely outdoor shower and bathtub. After a good nights sleep we woke up to see the beautiful surroundings and made our way to have breakfast which consisted of tea or coffee, fruit smoothies and choice of eggs and toast. We were joined by the resident dogs who were just lovely and enjoyed a bit of fuss but didn’t bother us in the slightest. We wanted to stay longer and explore but we had a boat to catch and the son took us down, stopped so we could get cash and drove us straight to the ticket office so as not to get hassled by ticket touts. He explained that they were still having issues with rebuilding the resort post earthquake and couldn’t apologise enough but this was not a problem and I just hope they can get it sorted soon. Thanks for all your help, if we’re in the area again we will stop by for longer.

A very uncomfortable experience, reception was not open, no other guests, pool not available, restaurant was not open, paid for breakfast in the rate and not provided. I had been ill and local family members came to care for me. The owners confronted me on the second morning. No introduction, which meant at the time, I had no idea who I was speaking with. She demanded to know about my other guests. And stated I would have to pay extra. That was not a issue for me, I wanted to discuss this with reception, but no on was in the office. Dogs roaming area the garden. Dome are friendly. I was not made to feel welcomed. I have traveled around the world and professionally worked in the travel industry, this had to one of the worst experiences I have ever had.

L'accueil au top, Orig, le fils du propriétaire a été gentil. La chambre familiale est grande et nous a permis d'avoir deux chambres. La salle de bain est grande avec en plus une douche à l'extérieur. On a adoré Lulu, Chacha, les chiens de la maison ainsi que les poules qui se promènent dans le grand jardin. La piscine top, le wifi bon, sortie snorkeling avec le cousin Ary top on a pu voir les fameuses tortues et visiter les îles Gili

Paradise op Lombok. Kleinschalig park met 7 huisjes die allemaal even stijlvol zijn ingericht. Park op en top schoon en onderhouden. In het restaurant of in het zwembad je voelt en bent de koning! ;-). Personeel is super aardig en en wordt heerlijk gekookt. Als je een dagtrip naar de watervallen wil, met de boot naar de Gili vraag de eigenaar en binnen de mogelijkheden regelen ze het voor je. Ik wens je nu al een fijn verblijf. Een aanrader!! Arnold
