Friendly Cityhotel Oktopus

Spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Really nice Spanish restaurant for dinner just a 2 minute walk. On-site swimming pool, water park and playground fun for kids

Es hat uns alles sehr gut gefallen. Das Hotel wusste nicht das wir zu viert kommen (wurde scheinbar nicht an das Hotel weitergegeben) innerhalb von 5 Minuten haben sie unser Zimmer aufgebettet 🙏

Wir waren sehr Zufrieden. Für uns war die Lage super. Es gibt eine Bar, ein gutes Restaurant und das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Schönes Hotel, für unseren Zweck in bester Lage! Schon letztes Jahr gebucht und werde es nächstes Jahr auch wieder buchen! Sehr zu empfehlen!

This hotel is not as advertised no air con no water no facilities other than the pool (which is public) i stayed here 10 years ago and it was ok, however this has changed the indoor hotel pool was closed when we arrived - no one told us no welcome, just a self check in machine roooms are poor no air con, boiling hot, absolutely bo facilities no fridge, only had one pillow, 2 small towels just extremely basic for the price not even a bottled water now the hotels main selling point the huge outdoor pool - this is a public pool, not for the hotel so anyone can go, on a hot day it was rammed beyond belief, no health and safety, 2 or 3 lifeguards for 500+ people! we asked for some water and were told no staff are miserable - i can see why working here just a total rip off my advice- stay somewhere else for half the price and come here to use the outdoor pool if you want that facility pooor poor hotel and staff

We recently stayed for 4 days at the Friendly City Hotel Oktopus. What looked online like a well-maintained hotel with many facilities turned out to be a complete lie. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the news that the indoor pool was closed because it was warm enough outside (22 degrees and cloudy). We already found this strange. Once in the room, we saw several bloodstains on the curtain. When we pointed this out to the staff, nothing was done; they looked at me blankly and said this shouldn't be the case. No room change or even a simple apology was offered. The next day, we decided to go to the outdoor pool, but we were again disappointed: the facilities were closed. We couldn't use the kitchen, and the beach bar was also closed, so we couldn't even get a simple drink. When we brought this up, the staff responded negatively, claiming it wasn't their fault. We asked for a drink and some simple fries, but the chef refused to make it for us. This made us feel even less welcome. The staff told us that the next day we could eat and drink at the pool, so we went back to the outdoor pool as it was 26 degrees that day. Again, everything was closed. To order a drink, we knocked on the window to avoid walking through the lobby shirtless, and accidentally knocked over a plant pot. We went inside to clean it up on our own initiative but were quickly whistled back outside because we were wearing swim trunks. When we reported the fallen plant pot, the staff reacted very harshly, and the so-called facility manager walked away in the middle of the conversation. On the day of checkout, we were surprised by the lack of breakfast. When we asked about it, four croissants were thrown into the trays from which eight people had to eat. Shameful! We went to the front desk to argue about not paying the full price for a hotel that has nothing more to offer than a regular hotel. The owner was called in. We told our story, but without saying a word, he looked at us angrily and said, "You can get 20 euros or nothing." When we asked what he based this on, he said that we only paid 75 euros per room per night, so this was enough. We left it at that because we were completely fed up with the whole experience and the staff working there. Conclusion: If you plan to stay in Siegburg but are looking for extra facilities, do not book this hotel. There are cheaper hotels nearby that may seem to offer less on paper but probably offer more in reality! For me, never again (not) Friendly City Hotel Oktopus.

The following was absolutely resplendent: - the room the breakfast (really sublime) the staff the cleanliness availability of an iron & an ironing board the pool the slides close to Siegburg The only slight 'blemishes' were, access to the seltzer/water dispenser, outside breakfast & that a refrigerator was not available, within the room.

Nous avions réservé via le site même (moins cher que booking). Parking de la piscine sert pour l'hôtel, à la réception o vous donne un ticket à mettre devant le pare brise. La piscine intérieure est propre, les toboggans sympas pour les petits et les grands. Les toilettes de la piscine sont moins propres que le reste. A l'accueil de la piscine on ne nous a rien expliqué, pourtant je suis germanophone. Pensez à demander une carte pour les casiers (sinon prendre une pièce), même si on arrive en peignoir, il faut déposer les chaussures. Nous n'avons pas trouvé le sauna, je n'ai pas demandé. Concernant la chambre: propre et grande. Il manquait cependant pour le prix payé de quoi se faire un café et un thé dans la chambre (et un petit frigo). Ce ne serait pas du luxe. Nous avions demandé qqs oreillers en plus dans la rubrique dédiée mais nous ne les avons pas eu à l'arrivée. Le petit déjeuner était bien, un peu déçue par le manque de choix en petits pains, les allemands en ont de tellement bons, il n'y en avait qu'une seule sorte. Attention aux croissants pour les français, ils sont salés avec du jambon dedans, ce n'est pas précisé. Nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant.
