I had the misfortune of staying at Royal Retreat, Shimla(Stay date: 29th March till 31st March 2025) and it was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. From abysmal service to utterly unacceptable room conditions, this establishment fails on every level. The room service was shockingly poor. Simple requests, such as water or towels, required multiple calls – often five or more – and excessive waiting times. It felt like pulling teeth to get basic necessities. The washroom was another major issue. A persistent, foul odor permeated the space, making it unpleasant to use. Cleanliness was clearly not a priority. Perhaps the most egregious issue was the extra bed we requested. What we received was a broken, dilapidated excuse for a bed. The center was completely collapsed, resulting in a night of excruciating back pain. It's appalling that a hotel would provide such a substandard piece of furniture to paying guests. While the staff did acknowledge our complaints, their words were empty. There was absolutely no effort to rectify the problems. It felt as though they were merely paying lip service to our concerns, with no intention of taking action. I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. You will be deeply disappointed.

The most loved stay in Royale Retreat ever. The hotel, it's ambience is just awesome. A unique blend of rustic and modern look. Excellent staff to assist you always. Sumptuous meals in breakfast to enhance your tastebuds. We ate all 3 meals in the hotel only and enjoyed to the core. The taste and service at Inayssa Restaurant in Hotel Royale Retreat was just great. Overall a great experience..

I stayed in Royale Retreat Shimla with my family for 5 nights during Jan 2025. We had 2 Royal suits booked during this off-peak season. I must say that we had an excellent stay in Royale Retreat Shimla. The hotel staff were very polite and friendly and were always helpful. The restaurant food and service was excellent. Restaurant team Ishu Kaushal, Madan Thakur were very good and worth mentioning in my post. Manager 'Dev' was very supportive during our stay. I would love to visit Royale Retreat in future.

What an amazing hotel and super hospitality. The staff and their service quality is worth 10 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We stayed for 5 days and they took very good care of us including my wheelchair bound father in law. An absolute MUST STAY at this hotel. Food - 10/5 star (the tandoor items ❤️) Room - 4.5/5 star Service - 10/5 star Breakfast - 4/5 star We will only stay here whenever we come back to Shimla.

Hotel is Value for money and quite good , Royal delux room is spacious and having all basic amenities. I really liked the centrally heating facility. I had a very pleasant & comfortable stay there for 2 days . Food quality is superb . Staff is polite and courteous. Location is near the Mall Road , min 20 min walking distance from the hotel .

Promit service & attitude of the staff. Neat clean service . Helpful in marriage anniversary celebration by us. Impressed us to visit next time when ever visit to shimla in future . The location of the hotel is also in the heart of the city . Overall very good experience
