Taj Theog Resort & Spa Shimla

Starting from arrival to departure staff took care of all aspects of our stay. This was our first trip post wedding especially with both families together and it was truly a memorable. At arrival, Rohan, Anil and Sachin were very helpful. Our rooms were for sure very beautiful with fantastic views of Himalayas. Especially from 504 we were able to see beautiful sun rise. Cherry on the cake was sunday evening dinner. Mr Ashok and team specially decorated our dinner table with very personalized service. The catering team also prepared a cake for me and my wife on our check out to make our departure even more memorable. In short, entire stay was up to the mark and beyond expectations!

Staff from the word go was exceptionally hospitable.. scenic and serene property.. Food was lil disappointing.. except himachalli food (pretty much that's what kept us alive).. Pool wasn't operational that was complete bummer.. we should been told upfront at the time of booking or upon arrival, rather false commitments were made.. which was not expected.. But nevertheless hospitality is top notch..

This is how hotels are supposed to be. We were made to feel like royalty for every minute we spent at the Taj Theog. I have stayed at multiple hotels across India, both Taj & non Taj properties - some hotels have been as pretty and well made as this - But NONE, has come close to the level of warmth and hospitality we experienced at the Taj, Theog. Right from our check in, handled so brilliantly by Sachin (Sharma), who smilingly indulged my request for an upgrade, and remained attentive throughout our three day stay there. Ever smiling, ever ready to hear each request patiently and deliver it to us on a platter. Cannot thank him enough. Sachin was an absolute star and elevated our check in to the next level. Having stayed over 50 nights with Taj properties across India this year, I can safely say, this was the most professional yet warm check in experience across every Taj Property I've stayed at. Just when I thought the wonderful check in experience was the high point of our stay, I met BhandariJi. How one person can be ever smiling, ever attentive, ever eager to serve with a smile, and go well beyond our expectations - that was Bhandariji. I was traveling with my mother who's in her late 70s and he ensured at each meal time (and otherwise), she was tended to and made comfortable to the maximum extent possible. He looked after my mother as she was his own. Truly a gem and an enviable asset for the Taj Group. We need Bhandariji to train staff at other Taj Properties so each can imbibe his wonderfullness and warmth. An extremely special mention for Neeraj & Ashok at Tragopan. Big beaming smiles despite the tough job of running around ensuring guest requests. Yet, not a hint of tiredness, only eagerness to ensure each request was noted and complied with at lightening speed. Truly grateful to both for making our meals a homely experience. And even on the day we were to leave, Ashok was kind enough to get sandwiches packed for us for the long drive back home with my mother. A gesture which touched us greatly. Each member of staff at this wonderful Hotel went way beyond their call of duty to ensure our comfort. Be it Budhi Sharma & Anshul who ensured our room was always sparkling and who appeared magically in a moment if we needed something, to the wonderfully smiling buggy drivers - who blew us away with their efficiency beyond ever present to cart us on the campus. Special mentions for Dinesh who's cheerfully took our bags for checkout,Ayush at the Bar, Rahul and Ritiv at the front office. The lovely lady from Kolkata at Tragopan. These young people were exceedingly well mannered and a joy to be around. And oh so good at their job. The best part of our stay was it felt like our home had been teleported to the mountains. The level of care we received was absolutely mind blowing. Both my Mother and I thank each member of the staff for making our stay so memorable. We recently stayed at the stunning Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We were fortunate to stay in one of their villa rooms, which provided not only luxurious comfort but also interiors that perfectly blended traditional Himachali design with a modern touch. Every detail, from the elegant furnishings to the sweeping views, made our stay extraordinary. The hospitality at Taj Theog was exceptional, thanks to the incredibly warm and welcoming staff. Special thanks to Neeraj, Bhandari Ram Sharma, Preeti, Vishal, Ayush, Chef Aman, Simi, and Judhit for making our stay truly joyful. The entire F&B team, particularly Ms. Neeraj and Mr. Bhandari, made us feel right at home. Chef Aman’s dishes were simply delicious, ranging from local Himachali cuisine to exotic flavors. Additionally, the spa at the resort was a highlight—offering a deeply healing and rejuvenating experience.
