Somerset QPlex ShenZhen

My girlfriend and I got together with some of her friends to celebrate her birthday. As it was my girlfriend’s birthday, the hotel staff upgraded us to en-suite room which had a perfect seating area for our two guests where we could all sit to eat, drink, and chat. A special thank you to Bella, Yuki, Jason, and Shirley. Thank you for delivering our cake in person, instead of using the robot, to ensure our cake didn’t get lopsided. Thank you also, for going wethrough the trouble of going to the nearest convenience store and buying a lighter for us (we didn’t have a lighter to light the candles on the cake) See you all soon! 😊

I was happy to stay at the Somerset Qplex SZ.  My stay was long (about 2wks) so I experience different rooms on different floors.  All the rooms were new, clean and well decorated.  The guest lounge and the gym were large (never crowded) and well furnished.  The gym and yoga were well equipped including towel (which was a nice touch).  However, I wish there was a pool.  Also, I found the mattress super hard so I asked for an extra duvet to be place on top, hence the 4 star.  The breakfast was good with buffet style selection and cooking corner to order fresh items.  The coffee was strong (for china) which was good surprise.   The location, while there isn't train station nearby but everything is a short didi ride away.  I can walk to OCT within 20-30min which is nice.   The hotel is next to Qplex shopping center which has a good variety, from cheap (local bun shop, Subways, Macdonald) to middle to luxury restaurants and coffee shops.    I can easily satisfy most of my meals within the mall which is very convenient.   There are couple of massage place nearby too.  Best of all was the staff.  Everyone I met (from front desk, to cleaning crew to security) was so kind and helpful.  I needed a very specific regulatory documentation  and they went above and beyond to help me.  I like to shout out to Jason, Feya and Jaycee for making my stay such a pleasant experience. Would I stay here again: yes 100%. Would I recommend to a friend: yes 100%.   

The third time we stayed there. Will keep coming back. Everything is simply excellent. They let us delay our check out to 2:00pm.

The stay was awesome with a good scenic view due to being located on higher floors. Good breakfast and facilities. I enjoyed the full kitchen and cookware.

A new business hotel, which's located in Nanshan, Shenzhen. Many taxi drivers do not know where the hotel is. Also, there's no space for you to park the car in front of the hotel lobby, so that you have to carry the luggage from the road outside to the hotel lobby, which's definitely inconvenient. In addition, the bed frame is fairly hard - if you prefer the soft one, this bed frame will definitely make you uncomfortable. The service of the Hotel is just normal, which's not really outstanding. If I come back to Shenzhen again, I will definitely choose another one with better rate.
