This homestay is a China original, a pioneer of the homestay revolution and it remains a leader today providing affordable and excellent service in a traditional home full of quirks and quality right in the centre of Shexian a few steps from the main city wall gates. The atmosphere is friendly and informal and the food is great, recognized as one of the best in the city. I already miss Hua Mulan, the friendly ginger snub nosed long haired cat that sits at the front door scrutinizing and welcoming newcomers and guests alike. She likes to be tickled on her head and cheeks best

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the old town. From the third-floor terrace, you can even see the yamen. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, offering plenty of travel advice. The innkeeper is very talkative and speaks fluent English. If you want to learn more about China, be sure to have a chat with her. The restaurant on the first floor is also delicious. Highly recommended. Highly recommended.

Very good location. Just located 1 minute’s walk away from the most famous memorial archway. The staff are very friendly. They are all locals and provide me with lots of useful travel advice. The room is clean and comfortable, and the decoration style is very historical as well. There is a restaurant on the ground floor, and the food is very good.
I also really love this small county. The locals are really nice and always say hi to you when you walk on the street. It’s also not far away from the Yellow Mountain. The staff helped to book a taxi for me, and it only took me 1 hour to get there.

I normally can't bring myself to write reviews but in this case it is hard not to write one, for all the best reasons. September Huizhou is a homely inn which breathes Ghibli vibes. The inn is located in the middle of the old town, which you can oversee from the rooftop terrace. You can sit in the lobby for hours while sipping some tea and petting the inn's furry permanent guests (see photos). I have had issues with cleanliness in many hotels I stayed at in China, but not here. Will definitely come for another visit.

Nice for the experience of an ancient home. Less if you expect a comfortable hotel room.
Beds extremly hard and bouncy.
Could not close the window: noisy in the morning from street and neighbours.
But all in all ok for one night.

每次來歙縣環黃山自行車🚲比賽必選的民宿。掌櫃和萌寵員工花木蘭一如既往的熱情好客。老闆通情達理，允許延遲退房，讓我們比賽結束後還能洗個熱水澡才打道回家。而且不在營業時間內早起幫我們煮咖啡☕️。基本上有求必應😄

先説優點：位置非常好！就在許國石坊這裏，出門就是古街古宅古城牆，還有博物館和徽派建築，老闆對面還開了個小文創店，買了個冰箱貼，很好逛，隔壁的餛飩也很好吃，吃住行都很方便！停車也有位置，民宿的環境也不錯，三樓有露台花園，可以俯瞰徽派建築屋頂，佈置的很漂亮，吃了一頓私房菜，也很好吃，還養了兩衹貓，很可愛！
優點多過不足，但還是想説一下，我們進門有下水道返上來的味道，後來我們住了隔壁的民宿，也有這個問題，我估計是這條街管道的問題，反映後老闆馬上就積極解決了，態度非常熱情，這裏要説一下老闆真的特別好！我們還沒到的時候老闆就給我們發了遊玩攻略和建議等，很周到，離店的時候還送了伴手禮，還主動問是否有不足的地方，總體來説還是滿意的，老闆實在！

九月徽州這裏真的是太好了！過年來徽州旅遊，定了九月，小魚熱情的幫着做規劃。客棧位置非常好，離許國石坊特別的近！客棧裏也是非常有感覺！而且一層就可以吃飯，臭鱖魚非常好吃！遺憾沒有吃上大家説的紅豆釀，下次來的時候再吃。
