Do not stay at this hotel!!! I am so saddened to write this review as I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 10 years and have always enjoyed it, but will never stay again. On my last stay, I booked it to stay close after a wedding. My husband and I checked in at 10pm, went to bed at 11, woke up the next morning, showered and left. Everything was fine. I get home later that day and check my credit card and see a $675 charge. I know they said they do a $75 hold so that was strange and thought there must be a mistake. I called and the front desk could not tell me what was wrong and said it was very strange. After going back and forth for a bit she finally says, “oh! I know why you were charged, you broke the tv”. Unfathomable that they would assume that we broke the tv, charge my card for almost $700 and not have the decency to call, to discuss. I couldn’t believe it because when we checked out, the TV was completely intact. The idea that we would break it and just leave is also insane. So I expressed that I did not break it and what happens in a situation like this when they say I did and I say I didnt. They said I had to call and talk to the manager the next day, so I did. Manager said there is nothing that can be done, the tv was fine when we booked and then was broken after we left, so it must have been us. She said she’d talk to the GM to see what he says. He said the same thing. It feels so disgusting to be accused of something we didn’t do and also charged for the damage we didn’t create. I can understand how they may jump to that conclusion but after talking to me and me stating we did not break it, you’d think they’d have to remove the charge, but that is not the case. He said, she said? So the only conclusion I can draw is one of the staff broke it and instead of fessing up, let us be charged for it. I was going to ask them to check cameras to see who went into that room after us but learned on here that there aren’t any cameras in the hall. What the heck is up with that?? So I will not remove this review, unless they come around and remove the charge. Still doesn’t sit right with me that this is the course of action for something like that, they have no proof we broke it and staff was in the room after us. Had we accidentally done that, which they said it was completely smashed, I would have brought it to their attention before leaving to work something out, not just let them charge me whatever amount they want at will. They said they will investigate it further but unless the staff member comes clean, not sure what else information they’ll be able to gather. So you have been warned, beware.
