We made an online reservation last Thursday, and arrived at 11:30 pm Friday night. Our room was not ready. The employee apologized, and we were told, “We’re trying to get someone in there to clean it for you. We’re understaffed.” We waited in the lobby for over 30 minutes. When we received our room keys, we were told that someone would be bringing our linens to the room. Once in the room, we found that our king bed was two full beds that had no linen on them. There were long, dark hairs all over the bathtub, with a large clump of hair in the drain. It was evident that the room had not been cleaned, and only had the linens removed for laundering. The hotel security guard arrived with clean linens, which was not part of her job duties. She was just trying to help, but we were not going to pay nearly $300 to stay in an uncleaned room and make the bed ourselves at 12:15 in the morning. We returned to the front desk and asked for a refund. They could not print a confirmation of the cancelled payment, so we disputed the charge to our credit card. We were given the general manager’s business card, but when I called the number, it was for a different person identified as the general manager.
