Bit of a strange place …the inside doesn’t match the outside when you arrive at the front there is only 2 parking spaces and they direct you round the back which looks a bit industrial but don’t be worried… when you walk into the hotel it’s lovely modern clean lines … rooms clean and spacious all the staff are brilliant … breakfast top notch… definitely recommend 👍🏻👍🏻

The Fig Tree is a very good hotel with a very modern decor throughout. Our executive room was comfortable with a large en-suite. Breakfast has a good hot and continental choice of menu. We enjoyed drinks from the bar in the lounge and also outside on the front terrace. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our only disappointment was the fact that there was no restaurant to eat in the evening. Otherwise perfect.

It was perfect for our stay as we were visiting my son who now lives on IOW. Would defo book again but would not do B&B as breakfast was a little limited and think there are nice little cafes around that would have a bigger breakfast/brunch range.

We first went last year when Heather and her team took over managing the Hotel - the change since then is fantastic, in just that one year. Breakfast is lovely and the Hotel itself is modern and well set up for us. My wife is in a wheelchair and whilst they don't have any adapted rooms, the bathrooms are "wet rooms" and we took her portable stall for the shower. The team there, Billy, Heather and Lucas looked after us very well and it's great to have a more modern Hotel in the centre of Shanklin. Clearly they work hard and are very committed to the development of the Fig Tree. They are considering how to open the restaurant of an evening, perhaps the only gap right now, but clearly that is a big commitment in these trying times. They deserve to be a success, we can recommend it to anyone.

A lovely hotel! Everything was great! Bed was super comfortable, room very clean, and a perfect location to visit the places of interest. We will definitely be returning, and will look to upgrade to a balcony room, these look out onto a beautiful church . All staff were lovely but have to give a special comment on Lucas, this boy goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect, he has a lovely nature and nothing is too much trouble. Well done ✔️

Stayed in suite, spotlessly clean, excellent view from the fabulous balcony of the bay. Very good choice at breakfast , excellent service and very nice and friendly staff. Really enjoyed Phils open mic night on Monday. We will definitely be staying with you again. Highly recommended.

The room was super comfy, all the staff were delightful, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast each morning was very appetising and freshly cooked. The bar was open every evening to have a wind down drink when coming back from dinner. The whole experience was enjoyable and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely appointinted rooms, great service and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Rooms were clean but very warm. Some minor attendance to bits in the rooms needed, could have replenished the water in the fridge. Could benefit from air-conditioned in the bar. Would return.
