A Cozy ******* Gem in Shangri-La — Loved Yanyi Inn
Our stay at Yanyi Inn in the heart of Dukezong AncientTown was unforgettable. The inn modern ******* charm, combined with modern comforts, made it the perfect retreat in Shangri-La.
The rooms were beautifully decorated with wooden cravings, spacious and most important it equipped with floor heating plus bed heating. This heatings ward off the chilly weather, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
The location couldn’t be better— just few steps from Dukezong’s winding alleys, prayers wheels, the embroidery museum and the stunning Giant Prayer Wheel. Yet, the Inn itself was peaceful, with a lovely cherry blossom tree in the courtyard.
What truly stood out was the hospitality. The lady host accompanied us to a delicious restaurant for dinner and did the grilled for us while chatting with us about the place and our experience visiting Yunnan.
If you are looking for an authentic, welcoming, and comfortable stay in Shanghai-La, Yanyi Inn is the perfect choice. Thank you so much.

A very cute hotel close to the old town, the hotel was clean and extremely warm at night with the underfloor heating. The hotel owner was especially friendly and even took me out for breakfast, very friendly. Would love to return in the future.

Such a nice hotel in the old town of Shangrila- everything is less than 5 min walk away. The room itself is modern and very clean. Huge comfy bed and big bath! There’s also underfloor heating, air conditioning and an electric blanket so we never felt cold. The hostess doesn’t speak any English but we communicated via wechat and there was no problem. She was very helpful and accommodating! Highly recommend this place!!

We stayed in the deluxe double room and the room is beautiful. Floor heating, heating blanket and ac made out stay cozy. The bathroom is separated by walls to the main room, however it is open on the top.
Location is excellent, on the outskirt of old town with free parking nearby.
Service was tentative. Breakfast was fresh and with good variety.
We would definitely stay again.
