A thriving town centre hotel that proved very comfortable. Car parking was good, the public car park issues tickets tha run to the next morning so no need to get up to pay again.

Would come back again! Staff were amazing! The dinner was tasty, the ambiance was beautiful. Bedrooms had a nice bath and in room coffee.

This is an excellent hotel in the heart of town. Friendly, helpful staff, well-equipped room with a large and comfortable bed. Good bar. The full English breakfast uses locally sourced ingredients and was one of the best I have ever eaten.

We love staying here. Lovely rooms and the food is fabulous. The staff are wonderful and can’t do enough for you. Highly recommended.

Lovely boutique hotel offering all the comforts of a great night's sleep. From the minute you arrive you feel relaxed. The staff are all friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Always look forward to our stay here.

Great location and facilities. Even parking was no problem in local car park. Staff were great. Should not be mopping floors and vacuuming when serving breakfast.

Lovely rooms and great food. Location is perfect as in the centre of Shaftesbury. No parking onsite but car parks nearby.

This is an old Inn trying to be trendy ,at a trendy price, and not exactly making it. The place has been around for centuries so expect creaks and groans but when the wind is in the right direction your windows may try to escape from their fittings, and wedges don't seem to work either. The beds are somewhat lower than average across the piece and have a very interesting extended bed stead that is larger than the mattress and can end in a knocked shin in the dark. Bathroom fittings are very trendy but if you have needs to balance a washbag somewhere forget it. Shower was good pressure and temperature if you don't mind standing in a cold shower while you gat the temp right. Food Good, Dinner was excellent, Breakfast also very good with excellent poached eggs and Croissants. One final thing. They request that goods deliveries are at a reasonable hour especially for rooms 8-7-and 6. Some drivers ignore that request.

Very nice hotel in the centre of town. Car park a short distance away. Helpful friendly staff and a nice modern room - a little too hot overnight with just the towel rail switched on. Breakfast good but dinner on the Sunday evening poor - suspect leftover beef from lunchtime as very thinly carved and small amount.
