Kombo Beach Resort

Amazing hotel situated on a long, sandy beach. Food and drink was excellent: all meals and we particularly liked the barbecue on the beach. Beautiful gardens, a lovely room with sea and garden view. The service was outstanding. The manager, Victor, couldnt do enough for us and all the staff were so friendly and keen to help. Particular thanks to Linda at the bar, Sangha who gave us fresh fruit for breakfast every day and Francis who served us at meal times: all excellent staff members. We loved the wildlife, birds and the whole area of Kotu. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

This was our first time in Gambia and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Kombo Beach Resort is undergoing refurbishment with one new block due to be completed in a few months though you could not hear any noise. We were in Block A which I believe was done last year. Everything was new and in good working order but the quality of the finishing could definitely have been better. As per many of the other reviews, the staff are all very friendly and eager to help. A special thanks to the bar and restaurant staff but especially Terema for her attentive service. As vegetarians there was plenty of choice for breakfast with one Indian speciality each morning. The choices in the evening were quite limited for us on some days but the chefs Shankar and Bhagwan prepared something for us every day. At one lunch, Bhagwan was making Momos but these were all non veg. The next day, he specifically made vegetarian ones for us. Shankar even made us Aloo Paratha for breakfast on the day we left and packed some for the flight back. This definitely made us feel special and are so grateful to them. As vegetarians it would be more helpful if the labelling of the food was better with maybe a green V sticker to indicate what is suitable for vegetarians. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach and the weather at this time of year is perfect. It's very pleasant most of the time but can get hot between midday and 4pm but thankfully hardly any mosquitos! Thank you to Victor and his team for a lovely relaxing time at the hotel.

We loved our stay at the resort! Everything is perfect. Food is good, rooms are perfect clean thanks to Kaddy Jammeh from housekeeping. She made the most beautiful things with towels on our beds. Thank you! The swimmingpool is very great too. The slides are very nice for kids!

Spent a truly relaxing and enjoyable week at this comfortable, clean and service minded hotel. Thanks to General Manager Victor Soares and restaurant manager Madeline Jallow F8b and staff members for excellent service throughout the week. Can truly recommend this place

We had a very nice vacation in this wonderfull hotel ON the beach .The very frendly staff was motiveted to give us a relax vacation. Its a big hotel ,lots of space ,nice big swimmingpools, New gym insite and a new gym outside in a large garden.The all in formule give us no stress,food is variable and enough.Chef Negi is a masterchef *** ,and our room with sea view was everyday cleaned by Bernaro Loppy:the best.Coming back next year...thats fur sure.A big applause for the GM Victor C Soares.

Had the most fantastic holiday. The hotel is lovely and the public areas are constantly being cleaned. The rooms are spacious, well presented and also kept beautifully clean. The staff are delightful, so hard working but always polite and ready to help and invariably with a big smile. There is a wide variety of delicious food. Travelling alone I was made to feel so welcome. Linda at the bar is just great and such fun - she certainly knows how to pour an excellent vodka and pineapple! It was great to see so many familiar faces from Tamala. Thank you so much to you all for your caring, happy attitudes. My especial thanks must go to Madeline (congratulations on your so well deserved promotion) and to Victor both of whom made my holiday extra special. I'll definitely be coming back!
