Nos gustó mucho alojarnos en este hotel. Está organizado en "cabañas" de 4 habitaciones (2 arriba y 2 abajo) a las que se llega andando por el exterior (de noche tienes que ir acompañado por un guardia, por seguridad respecto a los animales salvajes. Nosotros vimos búfalos por ejemplo). Todas ellas tienen una terraza/balcón con vistas al bosque y por el que pasan animales, sobre todo por la noche. Las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas, aunque sin lujos (internet muy limitado, no hay TV, el mobiliario no es el más nuevo, etc.). La decoración tanto de las habitaciones como del hotel en general es muy original (y del estilo Serena). La piscina está bien aunque un poco fría durante nuestra estancia. Tiene una terraza al lado que es fabulosa, desde la que se puede ver una parte preciosa del Serengeti. El restaurante es correcto, bastante bueno para lo que se puede encontrar en los distintos hoteles de la zona. Consiste en un bufet libre, tanto para el desayuno como para la cena. Dispone de espacios comunes como sala TV, sala de lectura, etc. El personal del hotel es muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Como recomendación extra: evitar el lunch box siempre que sea posible (en este hotel y cualquier otro, pero sobre todo en los hoteles Serena que nos quedamos era peor que en otros hoteles). Otra recomendación es que nos os alojéis siempre en hoteles Serena sino que cambiéis de cadena para que encontréis una decoración y estilo más variado (aunque no son iguales sí guardan muchos puntos en común, especialmente en comida).

Estuvimos 3 días alojados en el hotel durante nuestro safari. Las instalaciones están muy bien. Nuestra habitación tenía una terraza a la pradera que era una pasada. La comida está genial ofreciendo desde platos locales a comida internacional. Totalmente recomendable. Unas noches inolvidables.

This was by far the best of the four Serena lodges we stayed in. The thatched huts were comfortable, with a spacious bedroom and bathroom, but the jewel was the terrace overlooking the Serengeti. Watching dawn break, or the sun set ,over the grounds, filled with birds and dik diks, is a memory for life. The staff were so friendly and helpful, from bar staff to chef Florian, who prepared THE BEST fruit salads for our lunch boxes, to the night watch who escort you to you room after dark (!), this was a wonderful experience.

As a travel advisor you have to be open to the experience you may not be use to so you can share first hand the beauty others should have an opportunity to enjoy. What a wonderful piece of heaven. This location has the best staff, excellent tents and good food. I look forward to bring my clients here for this experience.

Central Serengeti is crowded with many cars, and we did experiment some tension between jeeps for hard to see animals. Indeed, we did see there amazing scenes there. 1 night – 3 rooms – 6 guests Hotel: Impressive view over Serengeti. Pleasant pool & pool bar, irresistible pet gazelle. Very crowed place. Room: Nice huts. Small room not climatized/only fan, private small terrasse. On ground floor no window can be open at night, as lodge is in the park. At first floor, room is hot, and we had opened all window during dinner but the house keeping service did close it all… Food: all buffet, with a wide choice and a lot of Indian food. Lunch box with sandwiches that were easily transported in the plane.

We stayed at the Serena lodge for two nights in October. The first impressions are very good, the cabins are dome shaped with thatched roofs set in beautifully landscaped gardens, but the real wow is the view from the balcony! The Serengeti stretches out as far as you can see, with some beautiful rolling hills and pasture containing herds of wilder-beast, buffalo and zebra. The hotel itself has a 1970’s feel, with a bit of a “DIsney does Africa” style. But the location and staff make it a wonderful place to stay. Each mealtime the staff make time to chat and make you feel very welcome. The food is buffet style with a wide choice of dishes, salads and deserts.

It was our first visit to the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge and we really liked this place. Great location, professional service and an extremely nice atmosphere. We admired the animal world with the help of Evans, the Imbasa driver. Whoever hasn't been here must come here.

Absolutely loved our stay at this great hotel. Nickson, the manager, has a great staff who all provide exceptional service, and personalized kindness, to their guests. We felt genuinely cared for by everyone at the hotel. Special recognition to the great service and treatment from Reinhard, Marcello, Jackson, and the young woman who hosts the restaurant (sorry, don't remember seeing a name tag, but she always remembered our room #). These people are very thoughtful and considerate, and, after meeting Nickson, you can tell it's the culture they intentionally create. Our bungalow was great, and the view of the sunrise was terrific. The grounds are very well kept. Loved seeing the Dik Diks and other animals around. It was a very serene environment that fit perfectly with being in the great Serengeti. Thank you for making our stay terrific! Overall, this was our favorite accommodation on entire East Africa trip.

An absolutely beautiful lodge. It is what bucket lists are made of. The food was top quality and so much choice. The staff were absolutely amazing. The rooms were a dream overlooking the park. They also put on evening entertainment which is brilliant after a full day of travel / safari. We didn't want to leave.
