My sister, her husband, and I were incredibly blessed to plan a trip to Tanzania and chose Entara and their camps/lodges for our safari experience. From the moment we arrived at Olmara Camp, we knew we had made the perfect choice. Everything was top-of-the-line—every detail carefully thought out to create an exceptional experience. The accommodations were absolutely stunning! The tents were immaculate, the beds incredibly comfortable, and the added touch of a warm "bush baby" (a water bottle) placed in bed each night was such a thoughtful detail. Waking up to an unobstructed view of the Serengeti plains each morning was nothing short of magical. The small, intimate setting of the camp (just eight tents) allowed for an unparalleled level of personalized service. The entire staff was beyond amazing—friendly, attentive, and always going out of their way to ensure our trip was unforgettable. From the morning wake-up calls with hot chocolate delivered to my tent to the cozy evenings spent around the fire, every moment was special. A huge shoutout to George, the chef, who prepared the most incredible meals. The family-style serving made every meal feel warm and inviting, and we never left the table hungry! The food was absolutely delicious, and the ample portions ensured we were always well-fed. Even our packed lunches were a culinary delight—not your average brown-bag meal! Everything was fresh, the fruit was unbelievably sweet, and the colors of the vegetables and dishes were as visually stunning as they were flavorful. Another highlight was the reliable Wi-Fi in the main tent, allowing us to connect with family when needed. And of course, nothing could compare to stepping onto my deck and watching a giraffe stroll by just 100 yards away—absolutely surreal! Walking Safari & Fly Camp – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience One of the highlights of our trip was the walking safari and fly camp experience—something I will never forget. Walking through the Serengeti with a knowledgeable guide gave us a completely new appreciation for the land. We learned about the flora, fauna, and animals in a way that you just can't get from a vehicle. Being up close and personal with our surroundings made us feel truly immersed in the wild. And then, settling into the fly camp for the night—sleeping in open stargazer tents, hearing lions roaring nearby—was absolutely magical. While the setting was more rustic than the main camp, we never felt like we were "roughing it." We were just as pampered and comfortable, and it truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. One of the most memorable moments was gathering around the fire under the vast African sky, sharing stories, laughter, and soaking in the raw beauty of the Serengeti. There was something truly special about sitting by the warmth of the flames, feeling completely connected to nature, and listening to the sounds of the wild all around us.
