This business made the start of a first solo trip really dreadful. I booked weeks in advance directly on their site, the booking was confirmed with no details on when I would pay so I assumed at the property. I messaged them as I was boarding my flight to Korea about directions from the airport and they informed me that a few days before they cancelled my boooking when they couldn't find a credit card on the system and they were now fully booked. It was saturday night and I was sat on my flight ready to take off and landing in a country I've never been to before as a solo female traveller at 10.30pm at night. My whole 11 hour flight I was so anxious as I didnt know where I would stay or how I would find accommodation when I landed. When I landed there was no accommodation available anywhere within my budget and all the unicorn business could do was apologise for any inconvenience caused :( I was literally on the verge of tears. I had to pay for one night accommodation 2 hours outside the city for $300 AUS Dollars - the same price my 4 nights would have been with unicorn - and also pay for a super expensive taxi. They never contacted me once to tell me they wanted payment after my booking was confirmed. They never contacted me to tell me my booking was cancelled. I would have shown up expecting my room and have nowhere to stay had I not messaged about directions from the airport. Would never recommend this business to anybody based on this horrific experience.
