Our stay at Hotel by Friso was exceptional in every respect. We stayed in Suite No. 15 on the raised ground floor – a stylishly designed, light-filled apartment with approximately three-meter-high ceilings, expansive windows, and a direct view of the lake. The suite is generously divided into three separate areas: An open-plan living and dining space with a high-end designer kitchen (including Nespresso machine, induction glass-ceramic cooktop, refrigerator with freezer compartment, full set of cookware and cleaning supplies), a separate, bright sleeping area, and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. Noteworthy are the extensive storage options thanks to multiple built-in wardrobes and a dedicated dressing section with a safe – ideal for extended stays. The suite is superbly equipped: comfortable beds, washer-dryer combo, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, and elegant dining areas both inside and on the quiet, furnished terrace – where we often enjoyed breakfast. The entire layout is well thought out, design-focused, and completely soundproof. There are no sources of noise – offering perfect conditions for peace, privacy, and relaxation. This accommodation is not only suitable for short getaways but also ideally suited for longer, self-sufficient stays. If you value space, individuality, and refined aesthetics, this is the right place for you. The hotel is located in a quiet, upscale villa district. The lake borders directly on the property and offers plenty of room to roam – a clear advantage for families with children. Although the hotel is not explicitly targeted at families, children were warmly welcomed. For us – as a family of five – it was the perfect combination of style, comfort, and family-friendliness. The location is excellent: the beach is about a 15-minute walk away, and there is a tram stop right in front of the house. A grocery store is approximately 600 meters away. On-site parking is available – SUV drivers should be prepared for a tight maneuver. A special highlight was the personal check-out by the owner, who kindly inquired about our satisfaction and shared valuable travel tips. Conclusion: A true insider tip for discerning travelers – modern, quiet, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed. For those seeking a refined retreat away from the mainstream, this is a top choice. Highly recommended.

Great hotel, nice service and friendly staff. Very clean, nice breakfast in your own room!! If we go back to The Hague, we will definitely stay here. Bed is a nice box spring, sleeps wonderfully! Room is very spacious. At the back you have a nice seating area by a pond.

I have been to many hotels until now, from the time I booked the hotel until the time I left the parking lot, I have not seen a single person and everything from check in to check out was digital. I am positively impressed how flawless all the technology worked and delivered an experience to a guest that is used to human touch. About the hotel room and the hotel in general, the place is clean, and with clean I mean it. The bed was nice, the room was big enough and even had a table where you can put your laptop and work. It has a small kitchen like counter top, with coffee available. The parking is in front of the hotel which is extra and I do recommend that extra, going out in the morning to walk and find your car around is not that comforting. Overall, By Friso will probably be my go to hotel for all my Den Haag trips.

In the middle between capital city and beach, located at the beautiful Westbroekpark with direct access to the lake, this Hotel is special. The tram station is nearby and brought us directly to the beach and also into the bustling city center. And with the new OV Pay the tram is easy to use for everybody from everywhere. The staff is lovely and friendly, we had Bo and Faustyna who took care of everything. Breakfast was brought directly to our room, we enjoyed it in our Pyjama. The reception is not permanently manned - no problem since we had keys to hotel and to our room, on our mobile and on a card. The photo enclosed shows our view with our breakfast. Not all rooms have this view, but are fine.

We loved staying at this completely renovated hotel! I highly recommend it. We'll definitely stay here again when we return to the Hague. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms are well-appointed Also, the host and hostess are so friendly and helpful.

Great location and very nice hosts! The house is beautifully situated on a small lake with a large park! There is a private parking lot and a nice big terrace to sit on. There are only limited parking spaces! Best to reserve in advance (15€ per day) The rooms are beautiful (we had a free upgrade to the 1 bed suite) The whole house is technically up to date! It's a 15-20 minute walk to the beach. There is also a tram about 500m away that runs regularly to the beach! We will definitely be back!
