Hampton Inn & Suites Schererville

Passing through the area and made a stop at the Shrine of Christ's Passion. Needed a place to stay with a swimming pool and Hampton Inn provided. Expectations met and had a good night's sleep.

Very clean

I came into town for my 40th Class Reunion. This hotel was chosen for out of town classmates. The rooms in my opinion was simply just ok they were clean but I expected a bit more for a Hilton Property. I travel often but this location was just mediocre. The continental breakfast was definitely on point. My big issue was the house keeping service. I checked in on Thursday evening ,. returned to my room Friday evening it hadn’t been serviced. My bed was still unmade and no clean towels etc. I went downstairs to the front desk to informed them. The person on duty said I will make certain your room will be serviced, thats all she said.I returned Saturday night no service to my room. I called the front desk I was informed that I have to request room service. I said no one mentioned that to me. Sunday morning it’s time to check out I spoke with Tameika Thomas she was very nice and understanding. She mentioned when my key card was issued to me upon check in a notice should’ve been attached stating the housekeeping cleaning schedule. It wasn’t enclosed with my card nor was it mentioned when came down stairs to speak with someone. I told Miss Thomas I feel I should be compensated for the communication flaw which I feel I was not at fault. An offered was given I declined so I will take the matter up with my credit card company.

I am extremely picky when selecting a hotel to stay in. The Hampton Inn did not miss a beat! The staff were welcoming! Ms. Tamekia was patient, kind, and welcoming. She helped us select the best room for my family. All of the staff were wonderful. I’m the type of person that checks under the mattresses and takes a full account of the cleanliness of the bathroom before we put our bags down. The rooms were clean and the property was well maintained. We visit this area often and it’s hard to find a hotel that will live up to my high standards but this hotel definitely made the cut. We will be back!

Wonderful experience! Highly recommend! Traveled to help son and his family (with small children) get settled in their new house. Decided to stay here for four nights to make everything easier. Great location! Great service! Not usually a fan of hotel complimentary breakfast, but have to say this is probably the nicest one I have ever had! Great food selection and variety!

This weekend I traveled with my two daughters (ages 17 and 28) and my granddaughter (18 months). Overall we had a great experience. We have stayed here two other times and were planning on setting up a group block for a competition in June. At approx 6:30am on Sun 4/7 I requested a late checkout. Our schedule for the entire weekend was crazy as we were in town forna competition. My daughter was scheduled for a 7:30 am event that day, and we had just gotten back from the previous evening's events after 1:00 am. We had very little time to sleep, let alone pack. I told the gentleman at the desk we should be able to be out between 12-1pm. We returned to the hotel at 12:24pm. I told my girls, "let's get packed right away and check out!" A housekeeper who looked to be about the age of my older daughter (maybe late 20's?) was at our door and said "This is my last room, Y'ALL NEED TO GET OUT." I tried to explain to her about the late check out. She angrily interrupted me, looking at her watch and said "Late check out is 11:30. Y'all need to get out." My two daughters (ages 17 and 28) and my granddaughter (18 months) and I all went into the room and hurriedly packed our stuff. It took 10 minutes. 5 minutes in, the same girl from housekeeping then started POUNDING on the door. My daughter opened the door long enough to say "5 minutes." As she closed the door, the housekeeping associate was saying a bunch of things about us to her co-workers. I was embarrassed. I was shook up. I felt nervous even leaving the room with the hostility that was coming from her. I was shaking when I got to the front desk. I told the person at the desk what happened. She apologized but didn't say much else. Someone else walked by and asked what was going on so I relayed the entire story all over again. Finally, as I was about to break down into tears, I said "in all my time traveling, I've never been treated like this. We will never stay here again." And we left.

Nice stay hotel was close and very convenient complimentary was a plus and amazing customer service Annette came up and introduced her self to us and she made sure we was enjoying everything and made sure or food was delicious Shanee was awesome so sweet I can say customer service here is outstanding

I have stayed here once every month this past year. The rooms are always clean and the staff are very nice. Especially Annette and Tamika who were very pleasant to see every morning. The lady in charge of the breakfast is very accommodating and takes good care of the diners.

Stayed one night while driving through Chicago area and just booked a few hours before arriving in the evening. Person checking us in was friendly and fast. She acknowledged that I was Diamond member. Room was clean and located next to elevator and ice machine, but room was very quiet - thanks to good construction. The breakfast area was open in the evening which was nice so that we could eat our takeout food at there - much better than in the room. We really appreciated it. Breakfast met good standard we have learned to expect at and Hampton Inn. Anette working the breakfast area was extremely friendly and welcoming and took out dishes right away when we were done.
