Premier Inn Scarborough (North Bay)

Although the bed and pillows are often promoted on media, they are not suitable for everyone. Providing slimmer type pillows would be a big bonus. The bed was fine.

Great location for local attractions, ample parking but as its council owned its not free. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout, room was clean as was bathroom, would give this hotel 4 stars were it not for pillows and mattress, both in need of replacement but a shame as normally Prem Inn beds are super comfy. Only other gripe was smell of sewage coming from sink on second night, also noticed this smell slightly near continental selection area at breakfast, shame as overall hotel was very clean.

Recently stayed the night while attending a concert down the road ,and was greeted and looked after very warm and welcoming,happy at reception as well as happy behind the bar and taking our food order . 5 stars

Mostly friendly staff, nice location especially with a short walk to the beach. Could do with more staff on an evening as only 2 staff each time for evening meals who were doing both restaurant and check in. Nice enough meals but could be better. Breakfast could do with freshening up more as hot food was bit cold some mornings. Also could do with a better check in system as there was a big queue when we got there for the reception desk with everyone checking in and the check in machines were not working properly. Overall not a bad experience with a few issues

I visited with my daughter for a concert at Scarborough Open Air Theatre which is a five minute walk down the hill from the hotel. We had a top floor room which overlooked some of the Open Air Theatre. The hotel was perfect for our needs. The room was a decent size, and nice and clean and wasn't too warm given how hot it had been. The hotel was very quiet, with no exterior noise or noise from other guests. Breakfast was very good too. There is a large car park next to the hotel: be aware this does charge guests for parking but the rate wasn't too bad (around £8 for 24 hours I think). I used the app to pay which made things easier). This is the second time we've visited and will happily return again: an excellent Premier Inn.

Stayed in this hotel in November for a sea side trip, mainly to visit Bridlington and Scarborough. First of, if you have the extra money to spend in the south bay one I would recommend it as it is much nearer to the beach and attractions. As for the premmier inn we stayed at, it was your typical premier inn with friendly staff, good facilities and clean rooms. There are only four things that went wrong: 1. The bath tap unit, when on the shower setting, sprayed water out of the pipe, we did manage to block the water from going on the floor with the shower curtain, but it still made a mess. 2. When we asked for another bath towel from reception, it was covered in black/brown stains. 3 The restaurant was closed due to inadequate staffing. This didn’t bother us however as we went to the independent pub next to it which served nicer food in my opinion. That does lead me on to my fourth which was that there didn’t seem to be enough staff around. They were constantly running between the bar and reception. Bar the negatives, this was a really affordable and comfortable place to stay for 2 nights. I would definitely recommend as most of our issues were one time things.
