I stayed here while I was taking lessons at their surf school, Lunazul, which was just a block away and quite convenient. I loved the experience of staying here -- having a kitchen that had all of the essential utensils, cookware, etc., listening to the birds while lounging in the hammock under the palapa (my favorite part), taking a dip in the small pool during the hottest part of the afternoon. The air conditioning was strong, very adjustable, and not loud. All of the staff are friendly, too. What I did not love was the bed, which I found extremely uncomfortable, especially because the pillows are not very supportive. The bed is quite firm, and I injured myself one night when I attempted to sleep on my side. I stayed here 6 nights, and on my last night I woke up too early and made myself a nest in the hammock, which was much more comfortable for me. I realized that final morning that I could hear the music from one of the beach clubs well into sunrise. It wasn't too loud -- and I sleep with earplugs anyway -- but just be aware if you are a light sleeper that there is some tradeoff for the easy beach access. Note that when you request housekeeping, they will take several hours midday to clean your room. I only did this once, because I wasn't prepared for the difference in timing than the housekeeping I've had during larger hotel stays.
