We stayed a night in Savannah in the Mary Marshall suite at the Marshall House and had a wonderful stay. The historic hotel is beautiful, there is so much to see. We were met on the street and had our bags taken in and car valeted by courteous, professional Bell men. There are multiple staircases as well as a classic elevator. We were on the second floor with access to rocking chairs on the covered porch overlooking the street. The location is great, we easily walked to everything we wanted to see as well as great restaurants and ice cream parlors. The room was a two room suite with a large living area with a pullout couch and then a king bed and bathroom with 1880s clawfoot tub. The ceilings were very high and with access to the porch, it seemed huge. In the evenings they had a harpist playing in the lounge with wine to go with it. The building is from 1844 and also served as a hospital during the Civil war. So much history!
