Wickwood Inn

We had a lovely three night stay at the Wickwood Inn and were honestly sad to leave. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable but the best part of the Inn was the staff. From the tour at check in to the delicious breakfasts served every morning in the garden, they made us feel welcome and at home. We booked another trip for fall before we left. Every room in the Inn has been remodeled and each design detail is impeccable. The Inn also provides an app with recommendations for restaurants and activities in Saugatuck which is so helpful. We climbed the steps to Mount Baldhead for the most stunning view!

The Wickwood Inn is a beautiful and welcoming place to stay in Saugatuck. Susan was friendly, informative and a lot of fun. We had a great conversation about the local artist scene.Cole was very attentive and professional. Since we don't drink wine he made us a carafe of coffee for every happy hour. The munchies at happy hour are both savory and sweet with a homemade bread or tart available. I really looked forward to the social hour. Not only for the food but also for the conversation. The breakfast was creative, varied and delicious. The dining room is great place to start the day with all the light and warm woods. Our suite had a fireplace and a soaker tub which was great after a day of exploring. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were crisp and of an excellent quality. The location is perfect. It is within walking distance of downtown and up the street from the Chain Ferry which takes you across the Kalamazoo river to dunes and oval beach. We have stayed at many inns and hotels in the Saugatuck/Douglas area. The Wickwood Inn is where we will stay from now on. The whole Inn felt like home.

What a wonderful little bed and breakfast in Saugatuck. Wonderful decor. Beautifully landscaped. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very tasty breakfast options each morning. Fruit infused water and sweet treats available each evening. There is an evening happy hour, but we were not able to experience that. The rooms were spacious enough. Air conditioning plus an in the window for more AC. Also, tuned out noise, which I love. You will not be sneaking up the stairs. It’s an older home and has some character about it. We stayed in a 2nd floor room. Highly recommend. The location is great. Walkable to downtown locations and close to the water. We will return.

My husband and I decided to stay at an Inn for the first time ever, because typically my husband prefers a TV and more privacy. However, we chose the gorgeous Wickwood Inn because of the location to town, (walking distance) and the luxury accommodations. After a four-night stay, my husband and I are now Wickwood Inn's biggest fans. What a very special and memorable visit we had! Some of the highlights of our stay included first and foremost the wonderfully attentive staff. I cannot express enough the warmth and care we were given by every single employee, a true breath of fresh air! Our suite was beautiful, comfortable, super clean, and the shower was incredible. Every public room/space was cozy and welcoming with beautiful decor. Rose, the chef and/or her team prepared our amazing breakfast each morning based off of a menu we pre-selected from the night before. In the afternoon, as a way for guests to mingle, wine and fabulous desserts were served between 4:30 and 6pm, and the desserts were available until 9pm. This allowed a designated time to get to know other guests, should they choose, and we met some of the loveliest people this way. I would like to express a huge thank you to the Inn keeper Mrs. Susan for leading a team in such a loving and caring way. Her expertise and big heart shined through every employee!!! PS One last comment, the Inn had perfect Wi-Fi as my husband, a few times, wanted to watch a movie through his Netflix account, he was happy man indeed!

This place is a hidden gem! When we checked into the Wickwood, we were greeted with a warm welcome by Susan who made sure our stay was fantastic. Each room in the Inn is immaculately decorated. We felt so spoiled and luxurious while we were there. We even wanted to hang out on the porch and near the fire on both days of our visit instead of going out which is how you know this place is magical. I can't say enough good things about this place! The whole time we were there we were cozy, comfortable and felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. The social hour snacks and desserts were fantastic as well as the included breakfast. I highly recommend this stay and can't wait to return!

It had been a while since we last stayed at the Wickwood Inn and we couldn't have been more delighted with the improvements made by new owners and the items that didn't change from the previous owners. It's still the most incredible experience - from arrival to the "I'm not ready to leave yet" departure. Each room is unique and wonderful in its own way. No one should be disappointed with furnishings, a most fabulously comfortable bed and completely renovated baths. Susan, their relatively new General Manager, is the utmost host. Although not originally from Saugatuck, or even Michigan, her knowledge, poise and confidence belie that she isn't a native Michigander. The entire staff at the Wickwood are very well-trained. They greet guests with the most warm and pleasant smiles and are ready to help in every way. The breakfast is served at your convenience (bet. 8:30-10:00 a.m.). You select your main dish (not same thing for everyone). Food is great and served with smiles. Coffee is an excellent brew, too. Afternoon snacks. Evening charcuterie & wine. What more could you want? We are already planning our return to Saugatuck and the Wickwood Inn!

We had a wonderful stay at the Wickwood Inn. Everything was perfect- a beautifully appointed room, lovely touches like fresh flowers and chocolates, complimentary wine and charcuterie in the afternoon, a sumptuous breakfast, gorgeous garden and screened porch, and the best location in Saugatuck with excellent staff to take great care of their guests. I highly recommend the Wickwood Inn for anyone going to the area.

My husband and I enjoyed one evening at the Wickwood Inn. Our first visit to Saugatuck. I can't say enough good things about our stay. Everything was lovely. Location was great, could walk to restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again, but next time stay longer.

Fantastic staff! Susan is a gem. Do not know what you are paying her, but pay her more! She defines the experience. Great breakfast. Wonderful snacks and munchies. Love that there were so many nooks and crannies so could chat with other guests or just have our private space. Comfy beds. Loved the robes. Can't wait for our next visit!
