Hotel Vittorio Emanuele

Great two nights in old but very clean classic italian hotel. Breakfast very good for price even made my husband a fresh omelete. Staff lovely room a little dark and there was a balcony but the view of a empty pidgeon building a bit off putting. if room had more modern and lighter furniture it be perfect.

Everthing worked in this hotel in a rundown part of Sassari, 700 metres from the railway station. However street noise from atypical individuals kept me awake for some time. The room had an abysmally small TV but was airconditioned. Lighting was fine. The pleasant girl at reception said my room did not have a double bed. This was incorrect. The bed had a top sheet, which I vastly prefer to heavy doonas. Well done. For the first time on this Eurailpass in Italy, the room had a fridge. The bathroom had a half circle shaped shower to a good design that seems all the rage in Europe. Hot water arrived within a second or two. A meagre single serve of shampoo was in the room. The breakfast was fine. Unusually one could gave an omelette cooked. I asked for ham cheese and capsicum, but it did not have the latter. Europe can often have a poor eange of available vegetables compared to nations like Australia and Philippines/Thailand.

A very good hotel. Stayed here for just one night to look around Sassari when travelling from Alghero to Cagliari. The hotel was very good, but we were a bit disappointed with the town itself. The room was very large, with a very comfortable bed, and a good shower. The view from the room was not that good looking out on an adjoining property which appears to be derelict, but there's not much the hotel can do about that. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection, including the option for cooked to order omelette / eggs, all served in a nice room with some lovely paintings creating a pleasing environment. The hotel is a short walk (around 500m) up a slight hill from the railways station, and easy to find, with the town centre a little bit further on. Would definitely look at staying here if visiting Sassari again.

The art in the hotel (paintings on local folklore etc) made up for the fact that the Cavalcata Sarda was postponed due to rain and we missed it. Hotel staff, breakfast and room really nice, we enjoyed our stay.

I was in Sassari for a conference and decided to stay a couple of extra nights. This hotel is in an ideal location in the center of the city, a short walking distance from the Piazza d'Italia and lots of restaurants and other attractions. The Old World decor is charming and the rooms are cozy and clean. The breakfast (no extra charge) features a decent variety of tasty options. The room rates are incredibly reasonable. I had an injured leg and needed extra help getting taxis, and the staff were just fantastic. I happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a great deal in Sassari.

Abbiamo soggiornato una sola notte, quella della Faradda,la famosa e spettacolare discesa dei candelieri; motivo principale per cui ho scelto questo hotel e si è rivelata una scelta vincente . Proprio situato sul corso omonimo dove passano "in discesa " i candelieri, in pieno centro. Staff dell'hotel gentile e professionale, camera pulita , arredamento un po' da rinnovare a parer mio, aria condizionata e wifi tutto funzionante. Buona la colazione, dolce e salata.
