Service was really wonderful and enhanced our stay here - it makes such a difference when people are nice to you when you are away from home. There were plenty of excellent food choices for us (one of us being a vegetarian). The hotel has a ”normal” side with bars and poolside music, as well as a ”quiet” side near the spa without the music...so it was good to have the choice of vibe to sit in.
Altogether its a really well run hotel: one we were pleased to have stayed in and one we would definitely return to.»

Se sugiere elegir un paquete de comida, más barato que en un único punto en el restaurante (porque es un hotel barbaro, es muy incómodo salir a comer, se sugiere que se come en el hotel). El restaurante es excelente, el precio no es libre de la comida, el paquete es de tres maneras (precursores + comida principal + productos de salsa), la cuenta se firmará después de la comida, el precio es (pero el paquete no tiene que pagarse de otra manera), el alcohol debe pagarse de otra manera, y la pequeña tarifa debe pagarse de acuerdo con el precio de la factura. Hay cinco o seis opciones para la comida principal, la producción es buena, la cantidad es grande, el servicio es muy amable, especialmente recomendado para la cerveza local.
La vista superior es excelente, ver el sol y las estrellas caen muy bien. La piscina en la montaña tiene hojas caídas, y hay gente que se limpia todo el día (pero no se puede esperar que sea tan limpia como la piscina interior), pero es muy divertido. También quería nadar por la noche, pero no pensé que la piscina de noche habría muchos platos para nadar, aunque no serían muy interesantes.
El restaurante de la habitación puede llamar la transmisión de golf, y es muy conveniente cuando se le llame. Las instalaciones en la habitación son muy completas, especialmente los telescopios son excelentes.
El hotel también ofrece una excursión de corta distancia a toda clase de pagos alrededor, que puede reservarse con antelación, pero, dado que el barbarismo es relajarse en la naturaleza, no será insensato permanecer en el hotel.»

«En primer lugar, la comida del Riu fue mejor de lo que esperaba. Había muchas estaciones de cocina y el personal era muy bueno. El personal limpiaba constantemente el lugar y los jardines estaban muy bien cuidados. Las piscinas son increíbles, los camareros tomaron pedidos de bebidas directamente desde sus asientos y el bar en la piscina también fue agradable. El Riu es agradable si solo quiere relajarse y quedarse en el resort o si elige aventurarse, está un poco lejos de la ciudad, a unos 35 minutos, hay un parque de aventuras justo cerca del hotel que es de visita obligada y la tirolesa fue extremadamente divertida . Los espectáculos nocturnos son divertidos y entretenidos. Solo tenga cuidado con los alquileres de vehículos todo terreno y motos acuáticas en la playa, no tienen seguro, así que hágalo bajo su propio riesgo. El hotel ofrece las mismas cosas y el precio se puede negociar. Calificaría el lugar 8.3/10 súper limpio y todo el personal tenía máscaras puestas si eso es una preocupación para usted y ahora todo está abierto nuevamente en clubes y bares.»

«Fue una buena experiencia. El personal muy amable y cordial, los desayunos deliciosos. Lo que hace falta es renovar el área de la piscina que se ve muy antiguo. La habitación estaba limpia y cómoda. La ubicación es un poco lejos de la playa pero tienen un club de Playa que está hermoso (fotos) donde puede pasar el día con todos los servicios disponibles (piscina, parqueo, servicio sanitario, duchas, comida muy rica y a buen precio y con acceso a la playa) »

Casa Uno has a fabulous beachfront location within the comfortable community of Los Almendros de Ocotal. The calm, perfect-for-swimming waters and the black sand beach of Playa Ocotal await you just steps out the back door through a small canopy of tropical shade trees. These waters offer enjoyable snorkeling right off the beach behind Casa Uno. Children and adults also love to stroll the nearby tide pools which teem with visible, fascinating marine life at low tide. Out Casa Uno’s front door, up a stairway to a stunning view of Ocotal Bay sits the largest of the three swimming pools in the development. Casa Uno also has its own private, jacuzzi-sized plunge pool in its landscaped backyard. The office, right next door, has a welcoming and knowledgeable staff for reception, visitor information and 24 hour security. The ever popular Father Rooster beach-side restaurant is a quick 2 minute walk from the house.
In the living space of Casa Uno, you can enjoy cooling A/C or open the windows and allow the warmth and sounds of the sea to relax and connect you to this sweet spot in Costa Rica. All of the bedrooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fans and ocean views. The main living area and the lanai each have 3 ceiling fans for a pleasant “sea breeze.” The kitchen/dining/living area and balcony plus the master bedroom and 2 baths (master and hall bath) comprise the entry floor of Casa Uno. The other two bedrooms and bath are on the lower, walk-out-to-the-beach level. This set-up nicely accommodates solo travelers and couples, or families and groups up to 8 people.
Casa Uno is fully equipped with kitchen appliances and utensils. For those wishing to do some cooking, excellent grocery stores in the nearby town of Playas del Coco will satisfy most menus. The house also has a washer, dryer, internet, and a Smart TV. All linens plus beach towels are provided. Maid service for your visit can be requested directly from the office for a modest additional charge.
Our 44 unit beach development has a combination of vacationers, long term renters and residents, so it feels relaxed, cared for and safe in Los Almendros. Weddings commonly take place on the beach behind Casa Uno which speaks also to the romantic and intimate qualities of our location. Casa Uno provides an easy going get-away to unwind and restore and/or a perfect jumping off spot to take on some of Costa Rica’s fun activities and adventures.
Activities abound in Costa Rica. Tours for Deep Sea Fishing, Sailboat/Catamaran trips, Scuba Diving and Snorkeling tours often leave from our bay. Rentals for kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and high quality snorkel gear are also accessible. Within about an hour of Casa Uno, adventure activities such as zip-lining, ATV’s, horseback riding, jet skis, surfing, and tubing are available; in addition, there are lower adrenaline choices like a mangrove tour, an animal sanctuary, hikes in the national park of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, mud bath/hot springs, and simply exploring other unique nearby beaches. The Guanacaste area has a couple of golf courses as well. An excellent variety of dining choices, shopping and entertainment can be found in the nearby towns of Playa Hermosa and Coco.
Ocotal is an easy 35 minute drive from Liberia Airport, and just 10 minutes past the more bustling town of Coco. It is a solid 3½ - 4 hour drive from SJO airport which just gives an excuse to see more cool stuff along the way in this amazing country. A car is recommended for the ease of getting around and exploring the wonders of the area, and Casa Uno has a parking space at the house and other nearby parking in the development. It is also possible to rent a golf cart or use local taxis/Uber, shuttles, private and outfitter’s transport to get where you need to go from Casa Uno. Hiring transport is one way to add a strong local flavor to your experience.

Do you need a healthy recharge? Children and adults alike can stay cool in the Guanacaste sunshine as children splash in the kiddie pool & adults relax at the swim up bar with a drink. You don’t have to feel too far from home with high speed WiFi on site and a smart 4K TV that can log into your Amazon Prime or Netflix accounts to stay connected. This gated community has 24 hour security and is located right on Ocotal beach. This beach is typically quieter than most because we are the only development right on the beach. If you're not a beach person that is okay. You will have your choice of three pools to lounge by within Los Almendros. One of those pools sits right below our balcony.
This two bedroom two bathroom condo has everything you could possibly need. Both bedrooms have their own air conditioning and the main living area has it's own as well. The fully renovated kitchen has everything you could possibly need to prepare your meals or make your Pina coladas with the blender provided. It even has a breakfast bar to sit at while your home chef prepares your meals. This condo will serve as a fantastic home base while you explore everything Costa Rica has to offer. We are a 5 minute drive from the town of Coco which has everything from grocery stores, souvenir shops, restaurants, bars and plenty of night life. Our condo is just far enough away from Coco so that you won't be disturbed while you try to get a good night sleep, but close enough to Coco to access everything you might need. Many of our guests just take taxis back and forth. You can forget about going to town and eat or take in the sunset with a Mojito at the famous Father Roosters which is a beach restaurant that is less than 100 yards from the entrance to Los Almendros. If you choose to rent a car you will have your own private parking right at the condo. We love helping our guests make the most of their vacations. We can assist you with tour guide recommendations to ensure you have the best adventures and they will pick you up right at the condo. Want to do some ocean adventures....no problem we have recommendations for that as well. If you don't want to rent a car that's no problem. We can assist you in arranging airport transportation.
