Unfortunately, our stay was not a highlight of our trip. To cap off our stay at Damigo's, we returned to our room late with a nice bottle of wine to toast our last night in greece. Upon entering the room, there were no glasses or mugs as the cleaning staff had removed everything, so we were left to toast our last night with a nice bottle of wine like a street person drinking directly out of the bottle). When this was pointed out, we got a "sorry and if you elect to stay with us again, we will treat you extra special". So, down a bottle of wine as we could not take it with us as we only had carry-on for the airline the next day. We also booked a cruise that Gigi (the concierge) booked us for a sunset cruise which had a variety of packages - the premium which was beer, wine and soft drinks for the cruise, and the luxury package which had cocktails added - long story short, with that package, they would not service us cocktails until after the dinner for the sunset, and when we asked for a second, it was obvious it was a huge hassel. We informed the hotel and they said they would work with the cruise line to make it right - that turned out only to be words as nothing happened - so 40 euro added to the package recommended by the hotel. The room was very nice and spacious, but lacked some basic items which we asked for ie: a valet to place our luggage on (one has to put their luggage on the floor to take things out of it as there is no place to access them easily). And the shower contained 2 bottles on the wall, one labeled shampoo and the other labled shampoo. We informed the front desk which they said they would correct. The next day when we were going to take a shower, it was not corrected so we called were told a prior customer broke the bottle, so they only had one marked shampoo, so use the one on the right as it has body wash (it seemed like the same material as what was in the shampoo bottle). We asked for body wash, and were delivered body lotion. So for the price of the hotel and what I consider a miss across a variety of fronts, I can only rate it as a 2 as I did see the value there. The room was nice, great view and the breakfast is very good (delivered to your balcony) but with the basic issues we encountered, we could not recommend the property which is unfortunate and will opt for a hotel next time that has service and follow-up that is commensurate with the price, as I so not see the value at Damigo's based on our experience.
