Atoles Retreat

It's a really nice new hotel, with beautiful rooms with a modern interior and very convenient. Outstanding view! Never mind it was rainy during our stay we had a wonderful vacation thanks to the staff and especially Joanna who ensured every detail of it was interesting and pleasant. The breakfast was rich and very tasty, and the room was very clean. We were welcomed by a bottle of nice wine and fruits and the nice attention to us was kept like this till the end. did not stay there, review is based on dealing with customer service and management. they will not be flexible on anything and if you make a mistake they won't bend at all and screw you over every penny, which is not the case with any bigger reputable hotel company, so beware and try to go with a bigger/better brand

We truly could not have had a better stay while in Santorini! The staff welcomed us after hours due to a lost bag from our flight. Maria welcomed us and showed us our gorgeous cave villa overlooking the Caldera. Being our first time in Greece we were awestruck with the beauty of this place. We’ve all seen the pictures but in person it’s unforgettable! Our Cave suite smelled amazing walking in and was spotless! We were also greeted with a nice bottle of local wine and fruit to start our stay. Maria was also extremely helpful booking our excursions for us as well - highly recommend the Day Catamaran cruise with the swimming! Breakfast was also a true delight each morning and was delicious. We honestly could not have picked a better place to stay in Santorini and if we comeback again, this will absolutely be the place we stay. Thank you again for an unforgettable experience!

We, three of us, my girlfriend, husband, and myself, stayed at Atoles Villa with two bedrooms and Private Pool at the beginning of June 2023 for four nights. It was wonderful experience with this small boutique hotel. 1. Excellent service: Thanks for Maria (Front person) who was so pretty with great smile, Sonila and Klady (Room Service and Cleaning) who provide all requested (ice for drinks, wine cooler, umbrella and etc) literally in one minute. Basically the hotel has only 4 to 5 rooms all together? (I am not sure the exact number of rooms) You communicate what you need via Whatsapp. Our villa was right down the front and service area so after request, stuff is delivered in one minute. 2. Excellent interior and exterior design as you can see from pictures online. Outdoor space is so spacious so three people can sit wherever you want and not to disturb others. In between the private viewing terrace and the pool area, a public path is running so not too private. But a group who want to take a two-bedroom-room would not mind a bit of attention from tourists walking by so as us. Simply the pool area is so beautifully constructed, so all the tourists passing by look and even take a picture. The pool is bigger than you can imagine from the online pic. I was expecting a plunge pool, but it was bigger. I would say 4m x 3.5m? (sorry if it is bigger) Main bedroom comes with living room space, which the other smaller bedroom does not have. The smaller bedroom has a bigger bathtub and overhead shower, which the main bedroom does not have (It has an enough size bathtub though). Water in bathtub is kept filled during your stays. The shower of the main bedroom is a hand shower which hang around chest level so for a female guest with long hairs needs to wash with one hand. I found it not too convenient. Well, all fixtures are beautiful and set beautifully, so a bit of compromise in convenience is expected: Such as, no towel hunger at washroom, very very slippery floor when you come out of shower, no shades in the area of private viewing terrace. I believe simplicity is the key motif of design so they would not like to put too many furnitures but if a group stays there, they want to view the most beautiful sunset all together from the viewing terrace. Two daybeds only are there so it would be good idea to make handy chairs available at request. We always bring a chair from room area to the viewing deck, then, cleaning person brings it back, and we bring it back again. (Maybe it was, we just did not ask.) By the way, sunset from the viewing private terrace has no obstruction 180 degree almost. The sunset is all yours and the sun sets in straight right in front of the terrace. 3. Breakfast was huge. You can choose from 5 or 6? menus and comes with greek yoghurt with muesli and fruits. Coffee and Tea. They deliver to your terrace at your requested time. 8 am is earliest. I like private dining so this was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. It met my expecta

Excellent stay at atoles for their very first season. I found the place on instagram by chance and our experience has been truly unique. It’s not referenced yet as the best in TripAdvisor as it’s brand new. First, it’s secluded and away from sight if you compare it to other luxury hotels. Then the concierge service is excellent. Nicolas does his best to make you do the best experience of santorini depending on your taste and wish. So please go to Atoles and enjoy the best experience of your life

We stayed at the Atoles retreat in September this year for our anniversary. On arrival there was excellent customer service from the staff, they were attentive and answered all our questions. We were slihtly disappointed that the villa said private area when the front of the villa is on a footpath so people do walk by often and look at the villa (because it's so pretty). If you're OK with people staring at the you whilst sunbathing or enjoying rhe view then this isn't a problem, but it was for us. Unfortunately we left santorini a day earlier than planned because we got very unwell. Earlier that day our jacuzzi had been cleaned and treated. We went in the jacuzzi that evening and after turning the jets on, my husband and I would not stop coughing. We got out immediately and Mt husband was sick. Throughout the night our symptoms got worse and we booked a flight to go home and see a doctor. The staff have said that it was nothing to do with the treatment they put in the jacuzzi. When we got home, I was treated with anti biotics for a lung infection. The communication from the hotel was good when we got back and they promised to work with us to settle this matter, however they are only offering a discounted stay if we return, which we won't. I wanted to leave a fair and honest review. No hate on the staff, they did what they could but we are adamant, from our experience, the jacuzzi jets caused irritation to our cbhest which took weeks to recover.
