Horizon Resort

Nos alojamos en el hotel familiar de George por 7 noches. Tenemos una muy buena oferta directa al hotel y quedamos muy satisfechos con nuestra estancia y el complejo. Es pequeño y acogedor, tranquilo y extremadamente relajado, las habitaciones son de estilo griego y espaciosas con balcón y excelentes vistas. La piscina no estaba ocupada y está a menos de cinco minutos de las tiendas y restaurantes de Kamari ya 10 minutos de la playa. El desayuno se sirve todas las mañanas, una elección abundante y razonable y se puede tomar afuera, generalmente con el pollo de la familia ayudando con los restos de tostadas y pastel. Una mención especial debe ir Sandy, el limpiador. Las habitaciones se limpiaban inmaculadamente todos los días, las toallas se cambiaban todas las mañanas y todo se guardaba Definitivamente me quedaré aquí de nuevo Andy, Z, Warren y Laura

We travelled with Wingbuddy as our provider. Horizon Resort is located away from the beach and main hotel area, about a 15 minute walk. There is a nice pool area out front of the hotel and loungers to relax on. When we went inside to check in the gentleman (appeared to be the owner) seemed uninterested. The lobby area had no lights on which made it feel a bit dreary. We did not receive any welcome or greeting to his facility. We were immediatly provided a document to read which outlined what we could and could not do during our stay. We were then told to pay our hotel tax and cash only on the spot. We understood that we were responsible to pay this fee however, he just put his hand out and basically demanded the fee in cash which seemed unprofessional. He provided a small map and scribbled the location of the hotel and where the restaurant and beach were located. He then proceeded to take us to our room. The bed was very dated and only about 15 inches off the floor. My first thought was how difficult it would be to get in and out of the bed being so low to the floor. The bathroom was very dated and was just a small pedestal sink beside the toilet. The shower was in the corner had a plastic shower curtail that would circle around 2 sides. The room had a balcony with a couple of chairs and a small table which was nice. The gentleman handed us the key and left. The outdoor amenities looked nice but the room really needs an upgrade as very dated. The customer service interaction was not welcoming and we felt more like an inconvenience to his day. We decided to take a walk and found another facility that was welcoming and able to provide a room for our 4 night stay. As Santorini was our last stop on our Wingbuddy package, we felt that changing hotels would be best as we were not comfortable with the Horizon Resort as outlined above and didn’t want to end our vacation negatively. This was an added cost to us but well worth it as the facility we moved to was by far more superior with the same 3 star rating as the Horizon Resort. As we did not stay here our rating of 3 stars out of 5 was based on the interaction and dated room that was provided.

We just wanna say Thank you we love you all!!!! The Hotel service,the Room service and as well the Restourant and Bar services been just Great and made our Vacation to a very special Experience with Amazing Memories. And a special Thank you and a Big Hug goes out to our Lovely (Ionna)!!! she been our Service lady in the Restourant and we will be Friends for life Time. Another Big Thank you to all the Bar Tender Boys and Girls ( Jana we love you)!!!!. And Last,But not least!A Big Big Thank you to the Reseotion Guys Yiannis and Kamil we Will miss you Guys.!!! The room was awesome guys # Super nice bathroom # Mega comfortable bed # Great balcony with beautiful sunsets!!!! Or you can simply drive around the entire island of Rhodes in a rental car in about 4-5 hours. The next beautiful sandy beach is never more than a 1-hour drive away. The beautiful sunrises and sunsets were amazing.

Have just come back from a lovely week in Santorini staying at Horizon resort. This was a rescheduled trip after not being able to travel last year which George was very accommodating in sorting out for me and my husband. The rooms are well kept and immaculately cleaned every day with fresh towels. There is an adequate buffet breakfast every day. The whole hotel including grounds and swimming pool are very well maintained and clean. George arranged a pick up and drop off at airport for us and also helped with car hire which was delivered to hotel for us. Location was a 10 min walk to beach and main strip. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here

We stayed for a week in late September 2023. The location is very convenient within 10-15 minutes easy walk of the beach, shops and restaurants but away from the bustle of Kamari centre. It is also a good base for exploring the island by car with ample free parking on site. We liked the hotel grounds and pool and our Superior room, although fairly basic, was comfortable with everything we needed including effective aircon. George, the hotel owner, was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the included Greek breakfast. The only minor drawback was some traffic noise from the main road next to the hotel although this did not bother us too much. Overall we were very happy with our choice of hotel and were glad that we stayed on this side of the island away from the hordes of cruise ship day-trippers on the other side.

We visited Santorini for the 1st time in August, traditionally one of the busiest months for tourists on the island. But what George & his family have created is a welcoming, relaxing and friendly resort perfect for couples or for families who wish to get away from the busy Santorini crowds. Myself and my girlfriend stayed for 4 nights and we couldn't have been treated any better. We arrived from a stay in Athens, on a early morning flight. On arrival, George couldn't have been more welcoming explaining when our room would be ready and allowing us to get some much needed breakfast along with ensuring that we had a place to keep our bags until our room was sorted. He also gave us an idea when our room would be ready to come back, this allowed us to relax straight away and also go explore the local area while our room was being made ready. We had a double mountain view room, the rooms are a generous space, with good aircon (particularly needed in August), safe, a big refrigerator (this is a big bonus), good sized balcony to name a few things. The rooms are kept exceptional clean which was particularly noticeable. The lady who cleaned our room was very attentive, even on one occasion cleaning our room while we went down for breakfast which was great. The breakfasts are very good with a good continental selection (pastries, fruits) and is well replenished. Me and my girlfriend particularly enjoyed being able to sit outside in the covered breakfast area in a morning. Nothing was ever a trouble for George, one morning also arranging us a taxi at a good rate to a evening restaurant booking in Fira and was extremely helpful throughout with any questions we may have. The pool area is a perfect area to relax, the pool is a decent size, a good temperature and was never particularly busy in terms of the sunbeds. A big plus... Also the friendly atmosphere with George's family made this a great place to relax. The hotel grounds are also exceptionally well kept. In terms of location, the hotel couldn't be in a better place. Staying away from the hustle and bustle & potential expense of staying in Oia or Fira during peak season. This hotel is great value. We were really pleased we chose to stay in Kamari. The hotel is set away from the main centre, it's some 12-15 minute walk to the beach front which has many bars & restaurants to choose from, 5 mins from the nearest bus stop to get to other towns (Fira) & 10 mins from the nearest supermarket. Being just offset from the main road the hotel was surprisingly quiet, with only a little bit of road noise from the road which leads into Kamari. Whether you be a couple, family or travelling on your own, I recommend this hotel for many reasons as listed above. In peak season, it provides a retreat from the busy areas in Santorini but is still close enough to visit them without any issues. George and his family are great hosts and extremely welcoming.
