Gysinge Herrgård

We arrived 15 minutes before check in so we beat the queue. Our room was located in the main building and was nice and clean. You could however hear anything happening outside your door quite well. The bedroom was quite tiny but it was manageable since we had a living room as well. The bed was comfortable and there was both a blind and thick curtains that you could use to make the room pitch black. We had an amazing view over the river from both the bedroom and the living room! The bathroom was a bit weird. There was no rubber shower barrier so the water went all over the floor… The surrounding area of the hotel was very beautiful! They even had a newly constructed sauna and bathing jetty. They could use some more sun-beds, other than that it was perfect. The breakfast was quite good. It had a nice assortment of bread, both grain and white. We did however want some more vegetables to choose from, like cucumber and capsicum. It would also be nice with some oat cereal, like Start.

In spite of the room having a nice look and high ceilings, it smelled of moisture/mold so much that when we came home we found our clothing had taken the smell on. Also, booking and communicating with the personnel was a bit of a tiring process, since we had to remind them about what they had offered us (!) regarding the price, checkout hour e t c. I honestly don’t understand how a hotel can be run with such a disastrously bad communication.
