Golf View Motel

We have stayed here previously and was impressed to see the rooms have been revamped. Yes they were old before but they were clean. Now with the improvements it’s just lovely. Close to the shops and the country club is walking distance. Great food at the country club. The beds are comfortable. They have done a great job with the make over. We will be back

Mixed experience here with positives like condition, freshness, cleanliness, good hot water pressure. It's close to shops for supplies, BWS, fish and chips, groceries. Be aware that these shops close at 7 on the dot! It's a drive to popular beaches. There are several negatives to note and it's the minimal equipment in 'kitchen' (Aussie standard), not enough linen for two, tiny bathroom, and the little flimsy coffee table was not useful for anything and should be replaced with a real table.

We had a great stay here. There are obviously a lot of renovations going on and our room had quite a bit of surface damage in need of repair. However it was spotless, with beautiful bed linen and fluffy white towels and a very comfortable bed. We are unlikely to return to Sanctuary Point, but if we did I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Stayed in the motel in their 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights with a friend as we were attending a wedding at a local farm venue. The room was very grubby. The carpet was old and badly stained in places. Paintwork chipped and the walls had dirty blackmarks on them. One of the “bleather “ black lounges was pealing where you sat. We had to sit on a towel so the pieces did not stick to us. “Yuk” The fridge froze all our food as it was on the wrong temperature setting. We booked the apartment so we could use the kitchen however there was no washing up liquid, sponge or even a tea towel provided. To enter the shower you had to step over a knee high hub into a very small shower area which was quite slippery. The sliding door was broken and stuck. I had to step inside side ways into the shower. On the plus side once you got in, the shower had good water pressure. Don’t know how tall or larger people would get into the shower. The floor of bathroom had a slimy feeling and we had to open every window in the apartment to get rid of the overall bleach smell. I must add that the linen on the beds and the towels were pristine. We were very dissapointed as it is in an excellent position. Close to the club,shops and very close to two beautiful wedding venues. If it was overhauled it could be prompted as accomodation for guests of these venues. As it stands now I would not recommend to anyone at the moment due to its run down state.

My husband and I called this the crime scene room. It’s so run down and dirty. Such a disappointment. Check out my photos for your own opinion. You will see in the photos someone false eyelash, it’s not mine. Just uncleaned in such an important time. Air conditioner had mould growing in it. We could only stay for one night out of the two due to feel uncomfortable in the room and unwell family member. Asked for a part refund for the second night and management declined our request. Will not return and I would not recommend it.
