Read the fine print. We went in mid October, arrived on Saturday, and could not even get a coffee on the resort on Sunday. All resort services were closed for the season. Not even coffee in the main reception (unlike many timeshares I have been at). Even if it had not been off season, the mattresses and pillows have earned their burial; so uncomfortable. Time for upgrades. The kitchen needs upgrades to electrical (one plug in our unit) and a coffee machine (the expresso cafeteria is not for everyone especially when nothing is open to buy coffee. The bathroom grout and toilet surround need repairs / the cup needs replacing. Put a small welcome basket in the room..especially for late arrivals. Positives, staff generally quickly remedied what they could (except for the coffee situation although they were drinking coffee on Sunday) and were sympathetic that there were no services. We received a coupon for a free spa visit at a nearby resort which was wonderful. Overall, we left early as there was little available on the resort (the pool is not heated) and only two cabs in the nearby town which is a near two hour walk (we know...we did it only to be stranded there with no cab available. thank you to staff for picking us up). RCI has award plaques all over the wall in the reception area. RCI's website should have clearly stated up front "You are booking off season. NO resort services are available on site or available nearby. You NEED a car and not all shops etc are open in town". Overall, I cannot recommend this resort as it stands, and given that staff were not immediately forthcoming about the resort being essentially closed. In fairness, in the height of summer, it would likely have been a much better experience.

The resort needs some serious updating. The mattress was so hard you might as well sleep on the tile floor. Luckily the sofa wasn’t as bad, so I slept in the living room. There was no WiFi unless you went outside, near the reception area, where you had to deal with mosquitos. The coffee vending machine didn’t work. The safe in the room required a key. The tv is a small computer monitor with very little to watch if you speak English. AND there were concerts being held at a nearby location that blasted the music until 1 am. It was so loud you could hear it even with all the windows and doors closed. At least the room was clean and the staff was ok.

This is potentially a great location ... and in the height of summer guess a great location ... we found it was a good spot to do some of the Tuscany sites ... but that was the only real positive. Everything around the resort had shut or shut the weekend we arrived ... and this is mid October ... still warm ... You do need a car if you are travelling here and it is not the height of summer. The apartment was very tired ... old furniture ... and bathroom not great, towels very thin. It just needed better communication and then you can plan things better ... yes the Garden Resort Spa was good ... but access to this resort should be included more as it can fit guests in when the area has shut for summer.

We received a very rude welcoming. The resort was shutting down for the season so not much was available. They gave us access to the Garden Resort on the same property. There was a group staying there which was not putting off a very friendly vibe. We went to explore the resort with our family(find restaurant/store/spa/pool and were followed and basically Chase of the compound by what looked like a manager and a security guard. We did NOT feel welcome at all. Yet we were supposed to have access. Also found some of the staff were not very friendly with a language barrier. The accommodations were old and basic supplies not in the room. And it took effort to get extra dish soap etc… the cleaning staff however were incredibly friendly!

The resort was nicely located within walking distance from the Mediterranean Sea. The resort has a private beach with a walking path to the beach. Included with the stay was a package for two to the spa which was a nice treat! We did need to rent a car to reach San Vincenzo but from there it was easy to take a train to most other cities in Italy. The mattresses at the resort were VERY firm which was OK with my husband but I did find very uncomfortable. The staff was friendly and helped us navigate our trip. There is a small market on site with enough food options for small meals and snacks as well as a restaurant and bar. I have to eat gluten free. There was some gluten free snacks and some gluten free pasta. Wear walking shoes Plan a day to enjoy the spa!

The resort is very beautiful and the location is special. Service and staff were wonderful. Apartment was great. Wifi was excellent. A few things to note: kettle and stove had challenges. There was no shuttle service and we did not have a car - which meant taking a taxi everywhere which wasn't cheap. The closest store for full amenities was 3 km away. Small shop on site with a few basics and irregular hours. Taxi service provided amazing service. Loved the 2 passes for the spa. Very, very special. Beds were hard and uncomfortable - ended up sleeping on the couch a few nights. Was great to have a lovely heater in each room as it was quite cold while we were there.
