I had the most wonderful time at Watermark Resort in San Pedro! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with such warmth by Prescilla at the front desk, making me feel right at home. The resort’s food was absolutely fantastic, especially the grilled fish presented in a plantain leaf – it was so flavorful! And their energizing drinks are a perfect refreshment after a day in the sun. The rooftop views are absolutely stunning, offering a breathtaking perspective of the area. The service was unparalleled, and a special shout-out to Kaylin, the cute and friendly bartender, and Geraldo for making our experience even better. I don’t recall the name of the gentleman from India at the front desk, but his service was just as excellent. Overall, my leisure trip was made unforgettable by the incredible service, delicious food, and the stunning setting of this new gem in San Pedro. I highly recommend Watermark Resort for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some top-notch hospitality!

This was the friendliest staff I’ve ever experienced at a hotel! Every single person was welcoming and respectful and went out of their way with a smile. So impressed with how warm everyone was. The rooftop pool area is lovely and the rooms were clean and bright. Don’t miss the Farmhouse next door for great breakfast!

Our stay at Watermark Belize Resort was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with unparalleled service and genuine warmth. As a couple looking for a relaxing vacation, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional attitude of the entire staff, which we can directly attribute to the incredible leadership of the General Manager. During our stay, my wife had a couple of special requests, and to our delight, they were immediately addressed by the GM himself, showing an incredible level of attention to detail and care. It's clear that the staff here is well-trained, and we witnessed firsthand the GM's dedication to ensuring each guest is treated like family. The views from the rooftop during sunrise were absolutely breathtaking—a view that will remain in our memories forever. There’s something truly magical about watching the sun rise over the horizon, and this resort offers the perfect spot to experience it. Thank you, Watermark Belize Resort, for making our vacation truly unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

Me and my wife had a pleasant stay. We did has some complications at front desk but it was resolved very quick. The food was amazing. We also met the GM of the hotel and he was very kind. He was very pleasant to us.he shared some of his experiences.

I enjoyed my stay with my son. The views alone were worth the price of admission - they were incredibly calming and therapeutic. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. My son loves the pizzas! The staff were all friendly, helpful, and ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms were immaculate, and the overall ambiance was relaxing and inviting. This is our favorite place to go to and we love the GM!

This hotel is being advertised as a new hotel in the heart of Belize. Maybe it is on the "newer" side but we were expecting much more. The overall experience was just "ok" but for what we paid, we should have just stayed at a big name hotel. Not many accommodations at the hotel. This would have been ok but one particular staff was insanely unaccommodating and kind of soured our entire trip. We used our American Express concierge to book this hotel and went with their recommendations, however, when we go to the Hotel, Le'Niah (front desk lady) stated they did not take Amex. Which was insanely alarming because they "took" my American Express to pre pay for the Hotel. But away from my best judgement, we were excited to be in Belize so we let that go (we should have left immediately and forfeit the hotel fees). After the 3rd night, we found out we were deactivated from our hotel room and need to "re register" and pay MORE FEE's. Le'Niah insisted we booked through ******* and our Amex Concierge never called to book for us. I immediately thought fraud, so I called up Amex who assured me they took care of our booking and we should not have to pay additional fees or be deactivated from our room. Not sure if it was just a money grab for her or the hotel is that unorganized but I will be monitoring my credit cards for any unauthorized charges. I'm not sure if she's just rude, doesn't like her job or just needs additional training but very unacceptable and I would not recommend this Hotel. The customer service was at a NEGATIVE ZERO! However, on our last night my husband and I went to the roof top bar to have a drink and we met the most delightful bar tender. I can not remember her name but it starts with a K and she was the breath of fresh air we needed to calm our nerves. We also met the hotel manager and was able to discuss our experience with him. He was kind and listened. Although those two were kind, the one bad apple made a significant impact on our trip and I remained uneasy for the duration. Thus my 2 stars... it was just ok but I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing vacation experience.

Mosquitos were found all over our room even though we did not keep the balcony door open. Management showed us other rooms which had spiders and mosquitos all over the ceiling. They then sprayed bug killer in our room and asked us to go back to the room with dead mosquitos on the floor, sheets and in our luggage. Did not compensate for contact dermatitis suffered from the bug spray and severe bug bites we experienced during our stay. We also found several lizards during our stay but that didn't matter much to us.

3 star is a fair rating for the overall experience at this hotel but of course had pro and cons: Pro: - Staff: staff are incredibly nice and knowledgeable and helped in a the very laid back island way with anything we needed from restaurant recommendations to arranging golf cart rental to taxis (they are 6/5). The bartender, Caitlin, at the rooftop was amazing 🍸 - Cleanliness: the hotel is new and everything (rooms included) is sparkling clean like hospital clean- even the bleach smell in the hallways - Location: being located north of San Pedro gives access to the city while you are away from the craziness that comes with it and also proximity to what’s up north for restaurants and drive to the secret beach Cons: - Rooms: it’s impossible to get the room dark or quiet to have a restful night. The walls and even ceiling are paper thin and we heard TV/music, people talking and kids screaming and jumping day and night. The doors are glass! and the hallway light (and noise) carries over from one side and the AC (which appreciated cooling it provides) has a bright LED light. Therefore, we didn’t get restful sleep. The room is too small for a king bed and it’s hard to walk without knocking my knee on the bed or head on the edge of hanging TV. There’s no closet space to put your stuff away, which is needed when you’re on a long trip and we had to keep the bags open and use the whole time which took the remaining space. - Location: it’s basically middle of no where. Other than a nice grocery store next to it, nothing is close and you need a golf cart or taxi to go places. The road from the city once you pass San Pedro has no side walks and the beach is not lit. So, while it looks like it’s 20 min walk to the city, it’s not safe to walk! - No beach: there’s no beach club or even direct access to the beach. People come to Ambergris for that and the hotel gives business hotel vibes and not vacay in the island. You can see the beautiful reef from the balcony if you face that way. Again, overall an average stay!
